The Dark Knight, The Hobbit, Prometheus, The Amazing Spider-Man and I'm really excited about the Hunger Games which I'm going to see this week for sure.

I hear they focus more on romance in the Hunger Games Movie. >_< That side of it really didn't interest me. I would prefer it if they explored the interesting concept of how gladiatorial-type death matches could be seen an culturally acceptable entertainment - like the Romans did. Thats probably a minority interest though and the makers know it. Still, I have heard it really does live up to the hype, so I am not ruling it out at all.

I want to see Batman, even though the villian they picked for it is TOTALLY LAME. If you didn't know, they picked Bane. TOTALLY LAME. Next year I think they may release the movie "American Idiot." It'll be SO SICK, but my parents would never let me see it because it will definately be rated R. But for all you adults, you might want to see it if you like musicals, or Green Day.

I want to see Batman, even though the villian they picked for it is TOTALLY LAME. If you didn't know, they picked Bane. TOTALLY LAME. Next year I think they may release the movie "American Idiot." It'll be SO SICK, but my parents would never let me see it because it will definately be rated R. But for all you adults, you might want to see it if you like musicals, or Green Day. Err... How is the villain "TOTALLY LAME"? He's one of the strongest and most intelligent villains there are. I've seen the first six minutes of the movie and I can tell you he is the opposite of lame.

I agree with Gasvia. Bane is one of Batman's most dreaded enemies. Most people think he's a brainless and mindless brute because Batman & Robin and the Batman games portray him that way but in the comics he's a genius. In his debut he completely stressed and tired Batman out by breaking multiple villains out of prison. He kept Batman busy and restless for days, figured out the location of his hideout and broke his back which kept him crippled for months. Does that sound like a lame villain?

Just came back from watching The Hunger Games. Pretty darn good and very loyal to the book. In fact, I think it's the closest book-to-movie adaptation I've ever seen. They didn't cut out anything important and what they added didn't screw up the tone of the story. About them focusing on the romance more than the survival parts, I don't think that's true. The stuff like Katniss exploring the woods, bunking up in a tree, the fire, the tracker-jackers, it all happens just as in the book. They just don't drag it out or else the movie would be longer than The Return of the King. A few weeks ago I read the books and liked them but got worried that they'd make the movie sappy and cheesy, especially after they said they toned the violence down a bit to make it PG13. Fortunately, I was wrong. The violence is still there (only more implied than shown) and the emotional scenes don't have any cheese at all Downsides: the CGI is lame sometimes and the shaky camera completely ruins some action scenes.

He isn't as scary as the other villians they've used and and his super-strength makes him more "super" than a Batman villian. I don't much about him though, just what I saw on the cartoon and (I still sound like a nerd) read about him on Wikipedia.

After watching the opening scene of the movie, I can assure you that the Bane in The Dark Knight Rises is nothing like he is in the animated series. If you've noticed, the villains in the recent trilogy are a lot more realistic than in the comics/cartoon. And don't worry about sounding like a nerd when I'm probably one of the nerdiest guys around here.
