So I was gonna start creating soon and figured I would peruse the tutorials list to see if there was anything I should know before starting. I go in and HOLY POOP IN A BASKET OF CHEESE theres a lot of them. I've decided to instead just build with a fresh mind and check back to it on a needed basis. But is there any you guys feel are good to look at for new creators? Kind of an essentials pack if you will.

Actually I would advise that you use these tutorials as they give you switches, sensors, and other items that are mandatory in creating levels. If you don't want to actually do the tutorials just click on them and you will be teleported into a tutorial level from there just go to the exit and you will recieve the items that the tutorial is about.

So your saying you don't want to listen to Steven fry's voice for what will seem like forever? or find out what really makes cows fly? but yeah, I can guarantee your level quality (especially as a new creator) will be much higher if you do the tutorials, the tools may look simple but they can become very complex depending on the project.

Haha. I meant here. Stephen Fry's cool and I went through those while I was doin the story mode. I meant the tutorial list on this site...in the tutorials section. Fly elderflower (or whatever) FLY!!!

I was gonna make a new topic with the subject music, but i'll try just using this one instead: it's a pretty basic question. is it possible to use music i have on my computer/CDs on a level? by the way, i was watching the video of a user made level, and i was totally amazed by it's music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMizhPbKpiU is it a music available for every developer, or what?

If the ingame tutorials are already too much of a hassle then I'd stop right there and not bother at all. These are the very basics and you will never grasp a CompherMC tutorial for instance if you do not grasp the basics. You'll end up copying but not understanding; that is, if you have the required components in your popit in the first place. You get them from doing the tutorials. You can be a creator without ever using any logic, sure, but if you do want to take that step, do yourself a favor and start with the basics.

You cannot retrieve music from your computer for use on LBP, unless you record it with a microphone through the magic mouth object in the game, but the quality will be considerably bad by then. The music in that video was created with the in-game music sequencer object, it can be found under all the music objects in it's own category, but you probably have to do a tutorial for it first to unlock it.
