Saved Costumes in Prize Bubbles

Archive: 21 posts

Ok, I was thinking you could put your saved costumes in a prize bubble, but you could not change the costume, all you can do is wear it so that you don't really get anything free. All you get is a little costume to use to your liking, but not to edit.2009-01-01 08:25:00

A really good idea, i've also thought about this, but i think that it would only work if you can't collect the prizebubble if you don't own all the costume parts that are included in the costume. Mm wouldn't want everyone to be able to get the costumes that you usually have to pay for, even if they couldn't edit them.2009-01-01 14:24:00

The only way that I could see this working is if the costumes were limited to the stage that it was given in.

For example, if the level is telling a story, and the player is a character in that story. The player could dress up as the character that he/she is technically supposed to be.

You wouldn't be able to edit it, the costume would go in the back by your other saved costumes but it would have a lock on it, so all you can do is wear it, and not edit, not even put a sticker and save as your own.2009-01-02 04:22:00

Another problem is that the costumes will be another thing which will fill your profile and that you wouldn't want to collect, but that problem would disappear if it worked like DarkDeDeDe suggested.2009-01-04 15:07:00

If it was implemented this way, people would still give out the full DLC costumes, and people wouldn't have a reason to buy the costumes themselves. This would ultimately hurt sales.

Good idea, like a costume you wear automatically in the level, but you lose again after you finish?

If you try this with the paintinator, you know what happens? It says "You haven't purchased this item, you cannot use it" or something along those lines. This could work the same way.

You probably are thinking of playing a level that has the paintinator upgrade. He's talking about if someone gives something with the paintinator out in a prize bubble to someone who doesn't have the mgs pack, than they can't use it in their level in Create Mode. :/

Yeah. I was thinking something along the lines of a mini dressing room. You go behind the curtain, and you change into a different costume.

I agree with you, and I have see something like a hack where the guy posted the spaceman costume, but then got banned.2009-03-26 02:42:00

It wouldn't hurt a thing. When you try to download a costume with a piece you didn't pay for, the game could simply give a warning and abort the download.

That would be cool, I thought of that too, but I would find it pretty useless with those custom costume how-to levels, and it would make the creators of the levels feel like they did all that for nothing.2009-04-04 20:06:00

I played a glitch level and learned that the people find pictures of the costumes and then put them on cutouts and into prize bubbles. No hacking at all.
