This is a NEW survival.

Archive: 4 posts

You have been stranded on a deserted island near a sea route, but you have no way of signalling another ship. You must seek shelter, food, water, and if you can find it, treasure. You must use every last bit of strength in your body, because if you die once, it's over...

Don't worry guys, this is actually a LOT easier than it sounds. It's only in it's demo as of yet, but it will be HUGE once it's done. Positive feedback is always great, and will keep me motivated to continue working on this!

I really like the concept of this level. The idea of being shipwrecked and having to find things and do activities to survive and progress is excellent. I just think one or two things need tweaking.

For example, I thought that you could polish the visuals a bit more to make the scenery look more realistic - there are a lot of straight lines and flat surfaces on your island. Why not take a look at some more naturalistic scenery in other levels and take it apart to see how it's done.

Another suggestion is to have more of a sense of danger, perhaps, just to add to the atmosphere a bit. You may already be planning to add some more hazards in the full level. It did feel a little more ominous at the end. Anyway, nice idea - good luck with the rest of the project and I look forward to seeing what you do.

This truly is a Great concept for an actuality based Survival level. I agree with Shropshirelass in regards to the factors you may add or implement within the full version. Overall though, I'm really looking forward to playing the finished product. 2012-03-20 19:56:00
