So I was laying in bed in the morning, thinking of so many random things. None of which were about LBP mind you, I'm not THAT addicted...And out of nowhere the thought of making an awesome skating level popped up! So I pondered a while if it would actually work, would it be physics based or more mechanical? Would it play good, or would it fail miserably? And at the end I thought I would sketch out a little something and give it more thought. So I ended up drawing a diagram, and it looked pretty neat. it looked plausible and not very messy at all, and then I decided that this would be my next project. So basically, it's a skating level that has you controlling jumps, tricks, landings and spins in slow motion. I already have a pretty sold clue as to how I will do this, and it seems pretty accurate. I would have a user-created skateboard attached to a piston, which is therefore attached to a block of metal underneath. This piston would act as my "jump". Now, the block would be horizontally attached to another piston spanning the entire level. That piston would act as the driving force of the skateboard, and it would be automatic. I'm also willing to add obstacles such as railings that the player would have to successfully grind on. Effects such as sparks (well, more like fumes in this case) would be implemented as the skateboard skids on the rails. That's basically the idea so far. Comments or suggestions would be great! LOL, yeah, don't do that. Other than that the idea seems solid, and I look forward to seeing how the level will actually play--not on paper--but in LBP.

If this gets successful (like a certain Skateboarding level....*cough*RAMP*cough*), consider making different tracks and such.

I would have heaps of levels and ideas made...if it wasn't for the fact that I SUCK at making levels. Anyway, this is getting off topic, so let's be blunt and to the point (get it???): We love the idea, so make the level, and make it NOW!!
