Hey, I have been building a level Titled: Creative Caverns, but I need a catchy theme... any tips for a newbie, for making a decent cavern theme??

If you have never made music before, trust me, you WILL NOT get it right on your first try.. I started trying early when the game came out, and just recently did I start making decent songs. The only tips I can give you are: 1. Don't give up 2. You won't get it right on your first try, just keep trying 3. Don't repeat the same melody over and over and over and over and, I think you get it. But also keep a pattern going, don't just make up random melodies and put them altogether. 4. Check out some 'professional' music creators, (some are listed below with their LBP.me links) and go through their songs and see what makes the song so good. I learned by going through Festerd_Jester's songs and figured out how to make decent techno songs. As Wolfy said, there are a lots of kind of people giving away great music. If you want to go your own way and you ain't shooting for the chart's top, mho is that one or two arpeggios from a mallet type sound complimented by some 2 or 3 note chord progression should be enough for a cavern like level. In case you want to see what i mean in practice, i made a quick random melody on ipad (http://soundcloud.com/zupaton/cave-test) and i think its pretty easy to do, even for amateurs, considering i am not a pro myself. : p

It's not too difficult to come up with a quick melody, the real skill comes with all the backing instruments. With your level being cavern themed, I don't think you need a lot of instruments, just something quite "light" will do. Harp would be a good instrument, with maybe glock and some sort of strings in the background.
