Speech bubble help

Is there a way to make it so a speech bubble goes off first saying something like "watch out" and THEN the next action (i.e. a monster for instance) happening after the speech bubble has been read?

Also, is there any easy way to scroll to the top and bottom of the stickers list?

yes there is a way, i'm actually doing it right now in my level i'm working on, all u need is a complicated system of permanent switches and pistons, u make ur sensor switch or whatever activate the dissolve block, the key fall into the switch activating the piston, make it so it only does it once, the piston has a square with another key on it, have a switch where the piston ends, when the piston reaches the end it will activate ur speech bubble, BUT, u also want that switch to activate another dissolve block making the key fall to the switch and make the piston move to the next switch activating your next event, hope it wasn't too confusing i tried my best , if anyone can explain it better feel free

I think you might be overcomplicating it jj.

There is no way to make sure someone has finished reading the speech bubble, you'll just have to give it your best guess. Here's how I would do it. Have a proximity sensor set on on/off where you want both events to occur. Also have a block of dissolve somewhere with a magnetic key on it, and dark matter underneath with a key switch set to directional. Have the proximity sensor activate the mouth and the dissolve. Now, you should also have a piston somewhere extending towards a magnetic key switch.(The key, of course, should be on the piston) Have the magnetic key that was near the dissolve activate this piston. The piston's time should be set to double what you think the person would read the mouth in. I would probably use 10. This magnetic key at the end would trigger whatever the event is that you want to happen.

well put, and repeat the process for however many events u want 2 happen

In my next "How to", which will be about magic mouths, I wanted to have some dialogue and then have an event occur.

I haven't tested it in create mode yet, but the theory in my head suggests you need to seperate the event from the conversation. How it's running in my head is a conversation occurs, and then there is a button you press to open a door to move on.

In theory the conversation would have been completely read before the event occurs. I'm sure in practice it could be broken, but giving the mental break to the player can help make the timing work.

Hopefully I'm making sense here. For the monster moving thing, you could cutscene to the monster just before it moves, and then have a sensor trigger after the speech sensor trigger range that actually makes the monster approach. Put another proximity sensor on the monster itself if you want more conversation after this. Always remember that you can use switches to activate magic mouths, including proximity sensors which are different to the radius of the mouths themselves.

This should in theory give enough mental gaps so that it all runs in sequence... in practice though the player can just keep walking and ruin all your planning.
