Lights Out Puzzle Level EZ 01-25 (Easier) [Move Optional] [1P-4P co-op]

Archive: 4 posts

Play the classic puzzle game, "Lights Out". Turn out the 5x5 grid of lights.

After feedback that the puzzles were too hard, I decided to make an easier level. All 25 of these puzzles were designed by me to not only be fun to solve, but also teach the fundamentals of the Lights Out game.

Once you beat this level, please check out my other two Lights Out levels. They are much more challenging, but hopefully this level functions as a kind of tutorial.

Nothing in 3 days? I made this level entirely from feedback here, but it only has two plays so far. I guess this is a bad week for feedback...2012-03-13 22:23:00

Sorry about the delay.

I played this using the controller and Move. Both worked fine, but i found the controller to be my personal weapon of choice. The option to choose is a big plus.

This is quite flawlessly made. Easy to understand so that anyone can jump in and play, just as the game is outside of video game. My lady, who doesn't play video games, jumped straight in no problems.

It begins really easy, but definitely doesn't feel like a tutorial around 10 levels in. It needs to be far easier if this "EZ" part is to be just that.

This, for what it is, is very well made and deserves more attention for the effort put in. It's an almost flawless recreation of the real thing. Music selection is a nice feature, the hand drawn designs are original and add to it positively.

My only gripe (and as it's only a mini-game concept, it can't really be as critiqued as a fully developed level/game) is a personal one and that is that it is essentially a mini-game. They're mostly just pick up and play, usually repetitive (albeit addictive) experiences, but this game is recreated brilliantly as already said, so if you like this sort of thing, this will offer you no trouble, but instead, a great amount of fun. If you enjoy grander levels/games, it can be over for you in a short time....but this is clearly for the former.

Well made!

Please find the other parts to the Lights Out game in the OP's sig.

@Lotus_Flow3r: Thanks for the reply!

I guess "easy" isn't the right choice of word, but it is definitely easier than part A. Every five puzzles, the min number of moves to solve increases by 1. So 2 moves to start, then 3, 4, 5, and 6 moves for the last five puzzles. Since part A starts at 6 moves to solve, I figured this was a good range for a tutorial (but they do get increasingly tricky).

It is a puzzle level, though, so I didn't want it to be too easy. I wouldn't call it a "mini-game" per se, but it certainly isn't on the scope of your levels. Hey, it was my first LBP2 level, after all!

...I can't believe nobody has commented on the YEAH!!! yet, though.
