So, I saw This (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=20913-Who-would-you-most-like-to-create-with) thread earlier, and rather than bump it after a year, thought I'd start it again So, that's the question there...now, answer! | 2012-03-08 15:06:00 Author: Valeview Posts: 1581 |
Nobody in particular, just any of the main guys who can make aesthetically pleasing levels. It's the main thing I struggle with. | 2012-03-08 15:09:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |

Anyone who I can constructively create with and one who is able to agree on concepts before the creation of them start. | 2012-03-09 02:48:00 Author: Cobaltor Posts: 222 |
Someone who works as I do, just making it up as they go along Also, a good visual worker, because I'm awful at them. | 2012-03-09 16:44:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
Nobody in particular, just any of the main guys who can make aesthetically pleasing levels. It's the main thing I struggle with. ^ Pretty much this. I'm fine with making a level play well, making music, beta testing, and fairly decent with logic, but I cant make level look good. | 2012-03-09 19:20:00 Author: DreJ1212 Posts: 240 |
Myself. Youll have to excuse me as my head seems to enlarge in this post, but I can assure you it isnt. Im not conceited, though it may sound like I am. I make levels for fun, and so that other people can enjoy them. When someone enjoys my level, it makes me feel good, because I know that I was solely responsible for the level that someone enjoyed. So if someone leaves a review that says, "amazing level, great work!" on a level I made entirely, my ego goes up. But if I work on a level with someone, and we each make half the level, and someone leaves that same review, it doesnt make me feel as good. For all I know, he could be saying that because of the stuff the other guy made. So then it doesnt make me feel as great, because I just dont know if he likes what I made, or what the other guy made. So I only create levels by myself, only accepting help with testing, because I want to be the only person that had anything to do with creating the level that someone loves. This is also why I dont use custom music. Im really bad at making music, and if I was going to have some in my level, it would have to be good. And on any level with good custom music, there are always a ton of reviews saying how great the music was(and Im certainly not going to use bad music). I dont want a bunch of reviews on the level I made complimenting the one thing I didnt make. So therefore, I create alone. | 2012-03-10 01:15:00 Author: ATMLVE Posts: 1177 |
If anyone, Mnniska, JplusK, or another one of my favorite creators. Them, and prattz of course ^.^ I already am. I tend to co-create with those who have a similar level creation style as I do. Your level process and quality will go down the toilet if you have two completely different styles working together. (In most cases, of course) | 2012-03-10 01:28:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |
http://www.court-records.net/animationgk/miles-crossed(d).gif While I know this is supposed to be a hypothetical scenario, but the only people I would really want to play with is my team. I tend to work well with them (If i had to pic one of them I would pick fang, we just work very well together.) http://www.court-records.net/animationgk/miles-object(f).gif BUT, it were just for fun, I wouldn't mind playing with Steve again. assuming he isn't absent most of the time, this time. Hmmm I enjoyed working with Sylux... I enjoyed working with Flava12, I enjoyed working with Covertaction... any of those I'll do... But lately I guess I'm in the need who knows his/her way around a music sequencer. Tough question; I am a lone creator and prefer to keep everything under my own control. I consider myself pretty allround in areas of logic, art, music and gameplay, but time to do all of that is the biggest factor every time. That is why I rarely publish anything. That said, I would love to do something with Mnniska one day. I admire his style, the way he works, his seemingly limitless imagination and since the Vita Jam I know he is also a very cool guy as a person. I think we both are lone creators, though, who love to do everything ourselves mostly. Close seconds: Rialrees, SSTAGG, Donor. | 2012-03-12 14:06:00 Author: Antikris Posts: 1340 |
Close seconds: Rialrees, SSTAGG, Donor. Whoa now, second?! Here I was thinking no one could deal with my seemingly infinite ability to change my mind. Thanks (seriously). Like most, I create my stuff alone. I'm only really confident with logic, so anyone that is as sporadically enthusiastic as me towards creating artsy things would be great. I'm not entirely sure who fits that description though... Had fun working with damaz, antikris, lordwarblade, comishguy, evret, and thelittlesoandso. | 2012-03-12 15:06:00 Author: SSTAGG1 Posts: 1136 |

I've had people in my level when I'm trying to create and I just can't do it. Same here. I've had people in my level when I'm trying to create and I just can't do it. I feel I need to entertain, rather than just concentrate on the vast amounts of logic that usually plague my levels. I have grown over that. I don't auto-refuse invitation but I decide to accept or not on whether I am busy. When people join me in Create and I am busy, they can do whatever they like as long as they understand I don't have constant attention for them, they don't break stuff, don't annoy or do harm with their own creations, ask for rewinds (guests should never ask, IMO, unless they broke the host's stuff) or lag too much. That is not the same as cooperative creation, though. In a joint project you can perfectly create on your own moons and join stuff together later. I think that is actually the preferred way for most. The problem I have with joint projects is control over artistic direction, expectations about one another and delivering on promises. I can only do joint projects with fellow creators who I can come to an understanding with about these issues. | 2012-03-12 17:35:00 Author: Antikris Posts: 1340 |
Well, my strength is in visuals/atmosphere, using my imagination and developing original concepts. I'm pretty confident with composing and creating music too. However, I only work at an intermediate level where logic is concerned and grasping the deeper intricacies of it generally eludes me. So I would probably choose rtm223 who I consider to be the supreme maestro of LBP logics. He's a funny, likeable guy too, which helps a lot when your working with someone. | 2012-03-12 19:04:00 Author: Ungreth Posts: 2130 |
I would probably say: Grayspence: I'm already working on a level with him, and he's fun to create with. RikiRiki-ita: He makes really fast paced platformers that I think would be fun to make. and Ruof: he makes physic-based platformers (at least some) which I have admired over my years of playing LBP. | 2012-03-12 19:43:00 Author: TheMonkeyBlade Posts: 687 |

I can't work with someone on a level. I work alone, mostly cause I get too distracted with others around. Plus I rewind...a LOT! However, in LBP2, I have come off my moon more often and asked for help in areas I am weak in - advanced logic and custom music. The Explorers probably had my biggest collaboration. Kingsofstreet perfected my poor attempt at making my large bugs travel specific paths while being able to carry multiple players without changing course, and Comishguy was nice enough to make custom music for the level. I was very happy with the level, but with great logic and a soundtrack that really captured the essence I wanted conveyed, really helped elevate it to what I had envisioned. I've been very fortunate to find talented people who are willing to lend a hand on small parts of the Dream Catcher level I've been working on. I still have to work alone, but I have also learned to ask for help if I think someone can help me get closer to my ideas. LBP is full of some amazingly gifted people. It'd be a shame if everyone kept to themselves. Co-creating isn't for everyone (myself included), but one thing I can say for sure, if you never taken the chance to give and/or receive help, then your not playing the game to its fullest potential. | 2012-03-13 01:30:00 Author: CYMBOL Posts: 1230 |
