My levels

Archive: 2 posts

Im new to the form and thought I would add the names of some of my levels, and get to know about me. The name is SmokeyIII (Smokey3). I have some awesome LBP2 friends: HotWheelinBMD, SawKillerIV, SpiderMaguire, Infested_clock and more! My first LBP2 level is called; V.I.S.Club is a DJ Light booth where you can come and party to tons of songs (Including many songs I made), chill at the VIP, get a drink at the bar, or just battle with your friends on some mini games. Another level I published 2 weeks ago is called; Love Hate Relationship This is basically a love level/vaction. But there is a twist at the end. Care to find out? I hope you do enjoy them and hopefully I am picked for the community spotlight!

first, welcome to LBPC. Love your enthusiasm but your first stop should be the "Introduce Yourselves" section. Start a thread there and tell us a little about yourself. Also, the Level showcase is where you post 1(one) level at a time. Now you want to get your level noticed so that some people play it right? Let me give you a few pointers on how to do just that.

Let me just say that this is only a suggestion. These are not official rules of LBPC but a mere guideline to maybe make your thread look a little more flashy. Let's begin.

First, this is your level, your creation, your baby. Your job is to convince people to play your level. Right? If you are proud enough of your level to post it in the Showcase area, then why oh why would you post it like this. This is only an example of some of the post I've seen:

"Hey guys, I just finished my new level. I worked on it real hard, so please go play it. Oh yeah, it's about a squirrel who his tree is about to be cut down, so yeah, check it out."

Wow, I don't know about you, but I sure want to play this level...NOT!
Here's a simple check list of things to do, to make your thread stick out.

LBP.me tool--did you use the tool? it's the blue box with a white bell, http://www.lbpcentral.com/images/lbpme.pngmore on this later

brief synopsis on your level. What is the level about? What type of gameplay is it?

F4F did you make it a feedback for feedback thread? Did you want to?

PICTURES did you post some pictures? more on this later

The LBP.me tool:http://www.lbpcentral.com/images/lbpme.png This nifty little tool is quite cool. Click on the icon and it will put this code in for you. Copy your LBP.me level URL. The URL is the in the white address bar at the top of the page. It will look something like this: http://lbp.me/v/zwp--b
but that URl in between the code so that it looks like this:
http://lbp.me/v/zwp--b
Now what this does, is gathers the LBP.me info and puts it in the thread for you. Kind of like this:

Pictures Add some pictures! This is really simple to do. I would recommend taking your own pictures within your level. Open your popit, click on stickers and deco and scroll through to your pictures. on the pictures you want to upload. hit square on the picture and upload. Go to the levels LBP.me page and then to photos. Find your pic(s) click on it, then click it again so that it's the only thing in the window. Copy the URL. come to your thread and click the Insert picture tool http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/LBPC-Style/editor/insertimage.png past the URL in the box and click "OK" Then when you submit the thread your picture will be in the page like so:

F4F The Feedback for Feedback system is an often under used tool here at LBPC. When you start a thread you are given the option to make it F4F. What this does is tell the reader that you are willing to play and give feedback here in the forum things you liked or didn't like about their level. maybe offer some tips on how to improve the level and in return they do the same for you. This helps us become better creators in the long run.

I hope you find this useful. Happy Gadding!
