What are these for exactly? Is it to tie different levels together into one big one? For the life of me I can't find any tutorials on it or anything!...

On your moon are craters of various sizes. Some have one dotted circle inside, while others have multiple dotted circles within one crater. Those are the ones to which I am referring...

this is where you create your levels. The size of the circles are insignificant and the size of the craters are as well. It's just for looks. Each "dotted circle" represents a blank level that you can build in. so one crater might have I forget how many, but say 10 slots. Well, you can make 10 levels there. one crater may only have 3 slots, You can make three levels in that location. Hope that helps.

It's just for grouping levels. It might actually be a cool way to organize stuff if you could specify the number of sub-craters, but you can't so it's not. I keep all the un-nested craters free for new levels/scratch craters...and once a level is published and completely done being modified move it into one of the less convenient nested craters to free up the precious singletons.

I would imagine it would be helpful for creating story chains of some kind. From a technical point of view, they're treated by the game as the same as all the other spaces on the moon.
