Dishaped Shapes?

Archive: 8 posts

When I made a HDD for my RPG, I shrunk it down. Simple right? However, they became all bloby and dishaped. Is there any way to prevent this? (By the way the material I'm using is Felt from the Muppets Pack).2012-03-01 02:26:00

I'm assuming you meant HUD; But yeah, certain shapes especially complex ones lose their shape when you shrink them down. You can make certain materials ivisible if you shrink them down enough.2012-03-01 03:29:00

If you mean this by it turns into a tiny triangle shape, then there really isnt any way to prevent this. Using other materials that arent as complex, or dont have out of physics band visuals. (Sponge/Felt) could help. 2012-03-01 03:43:00

Edge precision is best with sticker panel, though if you use it I'dd just place stickers instead of actually cutting it.
I wanted to make small hearts over my sackbot's head once, but they became triangles as I shrunk them. (there's a heart in the "body" section). I just changed for timer display of health.

If you want to keep the felt, i would take a picture of it and put it on something with sharp edges like cardboard or sticker panel. however, like the others have said, even those have limits.

maybe, instead of scaling it down, you could scale everything else up? Including gravity and the camera.

Any materials that have rounded corners tend to become "disshaped'. Try using a material that has rough, actually pointed edges, those types of materials don't ever cause that problem. So it's just a matter of the materials you used.2012-03-01 15:14:00

Actually there is (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=50759-Tiny-visible-digital-numbers-in-create-mode&p=789823&viewfull=1#post789823), but this issue it more likely to be related to the choice of material - materials with rounded corners will naturally lose detail at smaller scales.

Of course! I should have realized the shrink and smear glitch that increases a materials minimum size before it turns invisible works backwards. Wish I knew when I was trying to make little cardboard signs in lbp1.
