All rise, Round 53 of the Caption Contest is in session!
Say What!?!? No... it can't be! It has been forever since a round has been unveiled! ...and the last round was finally judged?!?!? Yup, yup, yup and YUP!! Fest your eyes, the next round is ON!! After a long time, much sickness, much procrastination and just being horribly lazy, we have a new round for you all to participate in. So make us proud, be funny and enter!! The most important of those is BE FUNNY!!

Round of what?!
Round of the Caption Contest! The premise is simple; whoever places the best caption on the provided LBP image wins! The caption could be a thought going through the characters' heads, or something the characters are saying, or even a short story leading up to the picture! It can practically be anything you want, as long as it's clean and abides by the forum rules.

NOTE: Humor is the only way to win!

Each round a new picture will be posted and you have at least a month (or longer since we like to have lots of entries as well as need more time for a new pic) before the thread is locked for judging. Once the next round commences, a new picture will be posted, and the winners from the previous round shall be announced.

Rules:


Only two captions per user (you do not have to post both at the same time).



Image editing/manipulating (Photoshopping/GIMP-ing) is allowed.



Awards will be handed out at the end of the round, usually on a Saturday after round ends. At that time, the image for the next round will be displayed.



Post the pictures on this thread. Yes.. they have to be pictures with your captions enclosed.. not just words on a post.
Image needs to be around the same size as the original for legibility. Smaller ones will be accepted, but if they cannot be read and you cannot fix your entry, then it will be horribly hard to judge and probably will not win. More then welcome to get with me to give you help, plus I have a handy how to up above!


PLEASE AVOID ATTACHMENTS! They are either too small or I cannot archive them easily. Sometimes they work fine, but more times than not I have to struggle with them.


Awards: (except for round 50 where all 3 pic winners were given 500xp)


Winning Caption -the best caption gets this. [250 xp]



Second Place - second best caption. [100 xp]



Third Place - third best caption. [50 xp]



Consolation Prize - this award goes to the caption that didn't get an award, but was still very good(this may not be handed out every time). [20 xp]

Yup.. as in the rules on the first post.

You don't have to use photoshop, but yes, the idea is to caption the photo like a cartoon. You can also include other stuff on the photo as long as it fits the expressions etc of the characters in the photo. Photobucket.com allows adding text bubbles as well as speechable.com.		2012-03-27 22:33:00
