Before I start, I would like to point out that I am in no way against the Japanese or their levels. In fact, I'm very glad that they're there. So I was skimming around the Cool Pages as usual, but I noticed something. There are a lot more Japanese levels than before! I've noticed more and more every day, ascending towards the top of the CP. They aren't by the same user, either. Many are by separate creators, and they all get there. They seem to use similar items at times (if you've played them, you've probably noticed the big blue starry cannon some of them use), but not too often. I highly doubt that they are by a person with multiple accounts, as most of them already have other levels of different style. So...what's going on? Was there a big LBP event in Japan? Or is this just...luck? The levels are very unusual and creative, definitely something new to LBP. And when I say "unusual", I mean EXTREMELY unusual. They are original, too. They're starting to take their places on the CP, and I really hope that this means better CP levels. Even if the spam is starting to pop up at the tippity-top, the Japanese levels are starting to populate also. Really, does anyone have an idea why? I mean, a lot of Japanese levels popped up all at a similar rate. I have no idea if the pages vary depending on region, but I'm just guessing. :hero:

Just depends on who's creating at any one time... If you saw the cool pages of the first few weeks in lbp1 there was lots of levels from japanese creators but these slowly died down as tastes in levels changed. Not that it should matter who created the level... as far as I'm concerned we're a unified community.

I think they either learned about how exploit their level on cool pages and are getting it noticed. Or The Success and Praise of some of Asia's great creators at the Quest for Glory LBPC contest (probably inspiring other Asian creators to get out there) Either way I'm enjoying it, easier to find good stuff, even when i can't understand a word of it.

Or The Success and Praise of some of Asia's great creators at the Quest for Glory LBPC contest (probably inspiring other Asian creators to get out there) I think both. Looking at feedbacks on their levels, it seems that Japanese creators are very well connected with each other. Whatever, this is the first positive change on Cool Pages after a very long time.

Considering there lot of Japan reviews in Japan levels i guess they are more united then we are, which allows them to easier go to top of cool pages. Also if you see Japan level you can always expect something good or creazy, so it might attack western players to play them There also possibility that we are the one who slaking off

There are lots of bad Japanese levels, they're just harder to find. I wouldn't take what you see on cool pages as representative.

What I meant was they won't turn up in searches since the text isn't written in the Roman alphabet. Change your PS3 language to 日本語 and search for 戦車 (せんしゃ for instance, it'll bring up lots of crappy tank levels just the same as searching for them in English would.
