I think that they option to set a few words to a quick chat kind of setting would be nice, like for instance, you want to say, hey come to my pod, instead of taking the hour it takes to say that, you could click 3 times and voila, it's said and done.

Meh. I'm fine without it. There are already lots of things that help in reducing this annoyance. There's keyboards and keypads that make typing faster. And if you don't have one, if you've said it recently, the words will come up in your predictive dictionary.

i agree with clank. its not that slow once the predictive comes into play.

There is also voice chat as well. Almost as fast as typing with a full size keyboard. And yes, "I agree with Clank".

That would be a great idea. But, if you have quick-chat there is more risks of other players swearing and saying wrong things.

no you would type it in beforehand. it would save, then you would click it to make it appear.

If it's a simple series of button presses, people could spam it, and it would just get out of hand. Think of "You have a nice costume". Sounds simple, right? Well, in the wrong context that could be inappropriate. And if a 12 year old spams that same phrase 3 times a second for a minute straight, I could see the game becoming unplayable, not just from a lag point of view but from a frustration point of view. Due to it's potential for abuse and the fact that there are so many good work arounds (and the original system is not completely horrible with predictive text), I don't think it's such a good idea.

I'm guessing they use the small one so it blocks up less screen. The game is not paused while you are typing away, and you may want to see things going on anyway. You can move it around, I think with one of the analog sticks, while you type. I'd like to have some sort of option to swap between the two, but at the moment it's just the keypad type.
