Pokemon Black and White 2

Yep, it happened. Junichi Masuda just announced NOT, Pokemon Grey, but infact, an actual sequel to Black and White.

Those are the new forms of Kyurem. (AKA Black Kyurem and White Kyurem)

A movie on it was also announced.

Also, I'm wondering why they'd decide to go with the DS for new Pokemon games, rather than the 3DS. They probably could've lured a few people away from the Vita. I know I said that I'm not getting a 3DS until a main series Pokemon game comes out for it.

Ah yeah, Junichi just said on his twitter that they are called Black Kyurem and White Kyurem.

So then, a couple odd mixtures of Kyurem with Reshiram/Zekrom? Well... that was unexpected.. I guess Grey is out of the question then, along with a brand new generation right away (considering the main legendaries are simply fusions here).

I love how there's huge flame wars all over game threads about this squeal. Half are saying this is going to suck and how they already hated Gen V and the other half is for this game and are excited. Im not going to judge till i see actual gameplay and see if they made any improvements. One thing i do hope is that they add a battle frontier and the vs seeker, cause that was the one thing i didn't like about black and white		2012-02-26 01:39:00

Oh god, don't start this. Generation V is awesome and loved, and all it's possible faults can be easily found in earlier generations.

@wait wtf: Heh, weird. I have to agree with you for basically all of those examples. Emolga is such a cute critter, and the idea of a flying squirrel pok?mon is great. It seems to fit in the universe very well, and Hydreolgon, man, that is such a great design I'd say. No thanks to the pile of mystery meat though.

(Also, I don't mean to hate on Gen 5. Like I've said, it has its ups and its downs.)

I didn't play Black or White admittedly, although I did play Diamond, which I really enjoyed. One of the great things about that game to me was the set of underground routes available, not only for transportation, but for being able to customize your very own home.

So I'm not sure if Black or White had this feature like Diamond and Pearl did, but I am curious if the Black and White sequel(s) will have it too, which I'm sure they will, if B&W had it.		2012-02-26 02:40:00

No, Black and White didn't have it. Their multiplayer portion was weird forest that I can't name, where more pokemon would appear depending on how many friends(?) (trades?) you had.		2012-02-26 03:23:00

The new forms look pretty cool.
I've never used/liked legendaries, so I'll have to see the new features(/story?) before I buy.

I'm excited though.
Pokemon is one of the best games ever imo.

gen I was remade because there was no way to trade from Gen I/II to Gen III. Gen II was remade why?... no clue. I believe it was remade to make some Gen II Pokemon (Like legendaries) less rare and easier to obtain.

So there's no real need for a Gen III remake, if you have the originals, you can export them across.


Black and white really got myself back into pokemon, after the disappointment I had with gen 4, I simply stopped playing it. How is this sequel such a surprise for some? Zerkom and Reshiram were once one pokemon, and Kyurem is linked in it somehow. Genesis escapes, N disappears, a few legendaries were left unobtainable, the story is still in-fact left open, I was wondering how they were going to finish it, but none the less a sequel is the answer it seems.		2012-02-27 14:28:00

Eeeeew! I think this makes Black my last Pok?mon game, unless they remake Ruby and Sapphire on DS (which is probably pretty likely to be honest).

'k, but as I said, I liked Black. The dislike came from the Kyurem forms, which don't look all that great or imaginative.

Also, got the Arceus in the end. It ends March 6th and is a lot easier than how I had to get it in Gen IV (an hour car drive to some place I'd never heard of to go to the event, though it was fun meeting people and stuff), so I suggest everyone gets it 		2012-03-01 08:10:00

I honestly just beat the main story in pokemon white not long ago. B&W2 is not really all that different from the first ones from what i understand. I will likely just wait another year before i buy it or wait until i can get it cheaper. *mew		2012-08-31 16:28:00

Black and white 2 are basically what Black and White should have been. More places, more pokemon, more events, able to battle champions from previous games. Black/White are like a back story for 2.

Yeah i know it has more stuff then the last ones. i always keep up on pokemon news at serebii.net. just saying it still is not different enough for me to want to buy it right away. There's no Ash or Pikachu because its not an Anime trailer, it's a game trailer. The games have different characters than the anime

Also, anybody going to bother to get Keldeo at Gamestop(or whatever your local game chain is)this month? I was going to get it then hurricane Isaac was like "OH YOU WANT TO GO PLACES? LOLNOPE!" and you can upload any pokemon you want to your game using pokegen and gts-upload so its whatever.		2012-09-01 02:52:00

Seeing as he got that Pikachu from Red and Blue, it's probably glitched and can go over Level 100. Must be the only explanation

Only level 100 I've ever obtained on regular terms was Paul, my Suicune from Silver. Leveled it from 40-100 in 2 months. Took me forever, but I was younger and it was totally worth it. One day my silver went through the wash in my jeans. It was the last time I ever saw Paul, and I don't think I've ever cried over a Videogame data loss up until that day. (after defeating the first gym of course since you dont have a choice)

I got Black 2, I think it's better than B/W
There's more variety in pokemon, (I think B2/W2 have the most pokemon in them of any pokemon game with like, 300+ IIRC)at the beginning of the game you can get pokemon like Riolu, Psyduck, Mareep, Dunsparce, Magnemite, and others. B/W only had Lillipup, Patrat, Pidove, and Purrloin in the first areas. Also since the game just came out you can get Genesect as a mystery gift which you could pretty much use exclusively for the first 2 gyms because its attacks have pretty high power.

They have a lot more areas than the original B/W, and they have some minor features that help you out, like being able to check what pokemon show up in what areas using the Pokedex.(A lot better than having to check it out on Bulbapedia xD)
If I wrote everything that's new i'd be sitting here for a while.
If you like pokemon/like playing the pokemon games, you'll definitely like it. They spent their time on this game for sure.

Edit: Huh.. for the Pokedex thing, it looks like you have to have seen the pokemon in that area for it to show up in the Habitat section. It told me there were Magnemite but didn't show the Koffing.. So that's not really new since B/W did that too.. they just didn't have a section for it..

Decided I am to, can't wait. Despite previous allegations what I've heard (while trying to steer clear of spoilers) is that it's much bigger and better than B/W, and perhaps my only criticism with B/W is that it's too small.		2012-10-10 18:35:00

Really enjoying this so far, although I'm a total sucker for Pokemon games. I kinda feels like Game Freak are gonna have to do a major shake up of the Pokemon formula after this one, otherwise there really isn't anywhere new to go for the next entry.2012-10-21 15:52:00
