Electro Outage

Hi just made a small little steampunk style platform level. Charge the factory back to life to keep the platforms moving.

Fix the 1 life bug in the level it should be fine now.

This is a nice stage, but disappointingly short (in a nice way). The idea is nice and the little timing puzzles are well built. Just wish there was more of it

I though that this would make a really nice longer stage, Um I did get crushed at the end as the scoreboard went down after the stage had ended.

I agree totally with Mr_Fusion. This is a really nice level. The concept's great and you've created some nice, neat puzzles using it. The visuals are good, nice custom music too and the whole thing was fun to play. The only downside is that you're left wanting more! It would really be worth extending the level if the thermo would let you. 2012-02-25 13:36:00

Wow! What a great, innovative little level youve made, joker. Loved it to peices!
I played it with Themonkeyblade yesterday and we both had some fun with the awesome time/ electricity based puzzles.
At most points, the electricity, when emmited by 2 players at once, (Or by one player after a period of continuous use) would create severe level lag, and sometimes make the screen blurry because of that. I can't think of a change to this that wouldn't ruin the charm or visual style of the level, so I guess thats just something we gotta live with.
Secondly, this level was unfortunately short. I was really enjoying this and then bam, the scoreboard. I'm sure that the thermomiter is really full, so I can't complain about adding more, but possibly a sequel? My fingers are crossed!
There was the point at the end where you needed to charge the battery on the left side to activate the scoreboard. We got onto it fine, but It retreated back down into it's little hole after a few seconds. The complete opposite of a massive problem, I assure you.

I gave it a Big "Yay" and I will be keeping an eye on you and reccomending this to my friends.

Great work joker, Really enjoyed this!

Wow, that's a great level you have there. Anytime I encounter a level with something new always intrigues me.
This level doesn't dissappoint with the nice steampunk visuals to the unique gameplay. Having said that, I liked the
idea of having to use the creatinator to power up the contraption areas to get to the next area. And having to time it
makes it that much more challenging and fun. My only gripe is that its too short. I understand the thermo issue and
all, but maybe level linking 2 levels to keep guys like myself from the meer dissappointment of it being too short.

Otherwise, I really liked where your going with this. I do hope you make a full or longer version in the near future.
Awesome job

Besides what people have said above, I'd like to add my two pennies (I've been ridiculously quiet around here of late, and I'm trying to put that to rights!)

Great level, lovely concept, and nicely laid out puzzles - you arrange things in a way that it's not frustrating to figure out what to do, but it's the planning and timing that count.

That being said, I think that I would have enjoyed myself more if the power generators didn't take so long to charge! I know you have a timer for the UI, and my guess is that it takes just as long to charge as it does to discharge... I wonder if that could be adjusted though, to make the gameplay a bit more involving. A countdown timer (instead of directional) would give an immediate start, then counting down for as long as you wish, but I understand that might be too easy

Either way though, this is a really nice concept! I'm sure the lag could be sorted out by reducing the speed of emission from the creatinator. Good job

I agree with this and was going to bring it up to. I thought that you could use a second hidden timer on a short count that makes three lights turn on (one each second) and then resets the visible timer to full, this then slowly counts down as is.

It all works, but the recharge, while not tedious, is a little slow.

Nice plan fusion! I think this sort of update would make the gameplay a lot smoother, and much more enjoyable. I hope to see more of this kind of concept though, really well thought out 2012-02-25 23:23:00

Thanks for your comments ppl but I am not making this level longer or a 2nd part of this. I am working on 3 levels atm which will be my last ones EVER!!!! so yes.

also since its not long i suppose this want have a chance of being in the LBPC Spot light :/

PS: I fix the lag issue by reducing the emmiter object.

Length has no real bearing on inclusion in the spotlight - quality over quantity

saying that, I don't really play levels for the crew, so I wouldn't be able to give any clue about whether you're to be included or not anyway And even if I were playing with them, I'd be keeping it close to my chest

Anyhow, glad you've taken advice about the emitters on board, and sorry to hear you won't revisit this idea, but I understand - a lot of projects can weigh one down! Good luck in future projects!
