Projector/films in LBP?
Archive: 10 posts
I haven't tested this idea out at all yet, but I thought of a crazy idea last night. Would it be possible to create a kind of projector? Stick a big light, set it to shadows, and face it towards a big wall. Then you could have a conveyor belt of images, like a film reel, going frame by frame past the light, creating, essentially, an animation. It would be a lot of work to create anything decent, but.... imagine a film made in lbp!! Yeah, so I don't know if that's really feasible. If I get a chance to test it I'll update. | 2008-12-31 03:53:00 Author: hilightnotes ![]() Posts: 1230 |
i made a tv that just puts a different emitted picture up every few seconds, but your idea would probably work a lot better since the images get interrupted by the emitted smoke | 2008-12-31 04:16:00 Author: RagnarokRed ![]() Posts: 29 |
That's not impossible and it would be kind of cool. ![]() Donkey show's Armourboy series has a system similiar to what you are describing to teach people how to use the Armorboys. But it would be very interesting to see some sort of film shown on a screen in game. ![]() | 2008-12-31 06:19:00 Author: Elbee23 ![]() Posts: 1280 |
There's a level called 'The Movies' by Teebonezy where he has short animations in the cinema, and they're actually not that bad. I don't think he used emitters either. | 2008-12-31 12:37:00 Author: LFF ![]() Posts: 434 |

Teebonesy actually used some sort of giant wheel to make his movies. And his level is really awesome. It really captures the feel of old black and white motion pictures. Sometimes they go off sync though if there's lag. | 2008-12-31 17:49:00 Author: xkappax ![]() Posts: 2569 |
