Network Error, "Failed to load all player profiles"...

Archive: 10 posts

Well, the situation is pretty simple. Everytime I try to join an online game, or join a specific player, it loads the scene but I don't appear. After a while, the error message "Failed to load all player profiles" appears. The only way I can play online is if someone joins me.

Anybody else get this problem? Does anyone know how to solve it or make the situation better?

I've gotten it only once. I don't know why though. It might have to do with your connection strength.2008-12-31 02:15:00

It never happened to me on a 20% connection. It might be that you have faulty software.

Or it could be your connection...

This has happened to me before, where I couldn't connect to a specific player. What we did is we both turned off our PS3s, and when we got back on, we could connect again. I'm not sure if it wil work for sure, but it did for me. :/2008-12-31 07:00:00

I get this error everytime I want to play online. I haven't tried recently though. The number of times I have been able to play online is 2.
In wish MM or Sony would at least tell us that they know of this problem. I'm really angry at them concerning this.
However, as I was searching for a solution, I found one little comment from someone at MM or Sony somewhere in one of the news at the LBP workshop.
It said something like they know of this error and are trying to fix it. It sounded to me like they didn't have much of an idea what causes this error. If so, I wonder why they can't figure out where an error message comes from. They programmed the game. I'm still angry at them for not making a news post about this, but we can only hope they fix this sooner or later.
I've read countless solutions like starting a new game, reeinstalling everything LBP, activating DMZ for the PS3, plugging out additional controllers.. None of them worked for me.

This happens to me when I join with my mate who has a rubbish 1MBPS connection. But when he joins me, no problem what so ever.2009-01-01 15:40:00

Me too. I get it every time I try to join more than 1 person.

There's currently no way to fix it unless you get a different internet connection.

I read somewhere that the host's connection is the one that is used for the game, when you join his bad connection, the game will have a bad connection. When he joins your good connection.......

I too have been suffering from this since last week. Never had too many problems before...sigh.

Edit: I had some crazy complex items in 'my objects' from all my levels that I've built. I finally said screw it and dumped them into a level and deleted them out of my pop-it. I then made some edits I wanted done on my levels, republished them and deleted most of them off my moon. I then recieved an invite from a OCK in Japan and for the first time in over a week I played some co-op. This might be a place to start?
