Multiplayer magic mouth issues

Hi guys and gals.

I'm making an rpg point and click level, using a sackbot and cursor. You usethe cursor to click on objects to bring up text. The magic mouths (mm) are on single shot and only trigger when the L1 button and a player sensor is triggered . In single player mode, to close the mm you do as the prompt suggests at the bottom of the speech, you press circle. Ok, here's the weird bit: when there are two players in the level, only I can close the mm using circle, even when the second player is the one in the bot and in control of the the cursor. The second person sees the text, but doesn't get the circle to close option,and circle does nothing. Any ideas? Makes no difference if I am sanding right next to the second player, and I have now found out that if the mm's are on a sequencer, it irradiates the issue.
I could re do all the mm's (about 20 or so) and put them all on sequencers, but would prefer to know why it is doing this?

Ok, this is because only player 1 can close magic mouths (im pretty sure), so you'll have to rethink your strategy. Place the mm's on a piece of invisable hologram with 2-4 tag sensors of different colors connected to and OR gate connected to a destroyer. Then have a controlinator for each player set so it receives the nearest player's signal (or just put each player in a controlinator). On each controlinator have a different color tag, corresponding with a tag on the mm/hologram setup. Make the tag on each activate with the circle button. That should destroy it, causing the mm to close. Finally, set the L1-Cursor setup to emit the mm/hologram box, rather than activate the mm.

BTW, NEVER TRUST SEQUENCERS! EVER!!!

Hey nk, yeah that's a fine way of fixing the problem thank you, though I've never come across a magic mouth before that I couldn't close in a multiplayer level. Interesting that you say not to trust sequencers, I will use your idea as it's an easy fix, but still confused about the mm not closing.

Only the host can close it. That's always how it worked, even in LBP1.2012-02-20 22:39:00

Oh buggerit! Sooooo, I just spent like four hours re-working all the logic for the gazzillions of magic mouths..... And I didn't need too, oh poobum!
Oh well I never new it was the host that controlled the closing of mm's. You never stop learning huh! Cheers.
