I voted for Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Little Big Planet would be second, though. I'm a huge Nintendo fanboy, but I also like a lot of games on the Sony platforms. I haven't yet played Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I'm going to start it at the beginning of next year, though. Anyway, what say you?

Pretty good year for games. LBP, Smash Bros, MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles, Mother 3 (lol ye, I'd say that counts) and Okami (Wii) have all earnt the highest possible recognition from me. All of them aren't just good, they're amazing.

Your asking a person's game of the year when it's a dedicated LBP fan site. My vote is for "most obvious poll answer of 2008". But seriously, LBP I have found to be very deep indeed. Other games I have enjoyed are... hmmm... well, let me see. Maybe if I mention games that have had an impact to me... Wii Fit, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Puzzle Quest on the PSN, there are many more I am sure... It's hard to remember what's come out this year and what's just an old game I'm playing now... I tend to prefer titles that are not fps clones and are not necessarily in the top 10 of sales charts. Just because a game sells well, that does not make it a good game.

For me LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3 came in hand-in-hand first (but being a LBP site I chose for LBP in the vote), but Prince of Persia came in a close second.

I think that R2 and GoW2 are in the same thing because they are both sc-fi shooters, + they battle for PS3 and X360. But for me it'd be GTA IV for second, and LBP my GOTY.
