Hi everyone. This is the first level I made this year, It's also my first Move level, however I have made an update and It can be played without a move controller. Let me know if you find any mistake. I hope you all enjoy it

Played it and loved it! Beautiful visuals and good use of the move controller!

-I would have preffered it if you had to actually press the T button to activate things instead of mousing over them. I say this because at multiple points in the level I died by accidentally moving my cursor over the obstacle and having it shift when I wasnt ready. Not a major deal though

- It was a little unclear on how you had to grab the white chain- thing at the first obstacle. It looked a lot like the other objects that were activated by hovering over it, so I tried that for 2 minutes untill I clued in and grabbed it.

-The cutscenes on the timed obstacles activate in a way that take up the time needed to overcome the obstacle. This is fine, because you can activate it again, but I found it kind of bothersome having to do the puzzle a second time because my time on the first try was taken up. At one point I DID die from this, although I can't really pinpoint where.

-The scrolls were a neat addition, but I found them kind of pointless. There are only two, and they provide a little bit of backstory. Maybe adding secret areas containing more scrolls of backstory would add a little replayablility?

All that aside, this is a solid level, I really enjoyed it. Hearted and Yayed

Very good but challenging level only having 4 lives check points. Found that a bit frustrating and did test my tolerance, but still a good level. I have quoted two points from Grayspence as I found it a bit too fiddly and hard to jump move and keep my other hand on the white circle to activate the platforms. Particularly the one that kept turning on and off, on and off all the time. This confused me as many times I jumped when they were on they would retract back into the layer or they would not move forward and even though they were turned on. Was I doing something wrong or is that a bug? I'm not sure.

I also found some of the platforms a bit too narrow/small especially when sackpeople can be a bit floaty and slide off. Maybe adding an extra small grid square it it would help.

The puzzles in it were quite enjoyable but could be frustrating the first time as Greyspence has noted. Maybe adding an extra 2 seconds to the timer to compensate for the cut-scene would help. But it gave a nice challenge on timing and getting it right to succeed. Alas with only 4 life checkpoints, a lack of time on my part & needing to go to bed I was unable to finish it.

Overall it's a good level, requiring move coordination, puzzle solving and platforming. Just found the platforms that turn off and on, off and on a but too frustrating. Really liked the music too and some nice lighting in the scenery. You must be doing something right as I'll be coming back to play it again.

Wow great review Des But since everyone seems to be having problems with the move controller, I must clarify some points:

1) I did not wanted this level to be easy, so I knew that aiming while moving was not going to be an easy task, even when though you just need to get use to it.

2) It's a puzzle platformer so do not expect any clue from me.

That's it. Sorry if I sound rude, It's not my intention I just wanted to clarify those points

There is a fine line between hard & frustration. I think me being left handed may be the problem ? So I'll give it another go.

I actually liked the puzzles. Maybe a small visual cue like a light on the first thing required to do, on something that needs grabbing would be less confusing? But I didn't have a problem with puzzles parts. Since I didn't get very far I'll see on my next time time round. This only has 13 plays?! I'll be back. But your Golden passage level is my far one of my favourites.

Didn't have a problem with the controls but did have a problem with the limited checkpoints, especially with it being so easy to fail. Some sections seem unfairly so. I really liked it and enjoyed playing it but dang it's pretty unforgiving

That's great news. I'll give it another shot in that case to see if I can actually finish it this time. For me the single checkpoints were just not enough. The level looked great, though, and the gameplay was cleverly designed and very creative - just a bit on the unforgiving side as Mr_Fusion said. 2012-02-28 18:22:00

Definitely much better in terms of giving the players the option to use either the move controller or the regular controller. However, I did notice a little problem. Having used the regular controller seemed a little hard in terms of the speed of the icon to move over the litted areas compared to the move controller. I would adjust the speed of it. Everything else is fine. I hope that helps2012-03-01 18:50:00
