Once again we ask you to pick your favourite levels, but this time you may pick only one level (or creator) from each category, the ones with the most votes in two weeks time will take home the prize. I love how the sackies are handled this year with actual fancy videos and a proper nomination stage to back it up. It's all rather shine and epic. I was worried because of that, spam levels would've reigned supreme since in-game many players (mostly young) would pretty much yay and heart everything they play, if they'd use lbp.me they'd probably do the same thing (but replace hearts and yays with queue's and nominations). And I was wathching trending levels on lbp.me from time to time (since its based upon queues) and i saw quite a load of spam levels (from the common level spammers). Who knows, maybe they were the most voted but spaff personally looked through the levels and disqualified them. No matter its still a fantastic list of nominees , i just wish they'd just do what they did last time and gave all nominees the pins instead of just the winner, because all you guys seriously deserve them EDIT: Oh i should see if all of the nominees have a recording on youtube, and maybe do a little homage to the ones that don't, right after i finish my little surprise

Well then your essentially getting an award for getting more plays/having a better reputation than anyone else, especially considering the only levels the community tends to play the most is that of the MM picks, cool pages, etc. It makes sense if the purpose of the ceremony is to award the most popular creators. If it's to objectively consider something "the best", then I think that there should be a criteria and a board of judges who play submissions by creators. It has been hinted that there will be a few more categories chosen in secret rather than by popular vote. Who can say what varied people and levels may be honoured in the final ceremony? Ah

Some good stuff in there. Might have to play a few of these levels. That star wars level (jules) deserved to be in level of the year though, as it was great all around.

I got none But thank you for all who ever voted for my levels (i know at least one ^^) and gz to all nommeny. Theees quite a oddness thru gameplay category seems useless since it's nearly level of the year mirror, but that supprice me the most is multiplayer category.... seems like community love scenerinc levels more for multiplayer level then actual multiplayer versus levels XD

I told my other half I'd been nominated, cue slight dissappointment when I explained a shmoozy fizz fuelled red carpet affair was unlikely. Had a hard time choosing, lots of great and varied levels in there. Would have loved to have seen MrMik and Lightmare up there for their gameplay though. That star wars level (jules) deserved to be in level of the year though, as it was great all around. Thanks midnight, just happy to get a nod in!

Also, not pretending to be an a$$hole, but some levels with many chances to win were not published in 2011. But anyway... this is a party, so let's enjoy it. Maybe I'm just having a bad day

Ohhhhhh I'm speechless and couldn't believe my eyes :_) I never got some special in LBP like rare pins or won something, spotlight or some like that...I'm so impressed by the LBP community that they nominated me with two of my levels...I wanna say thanks to all who vote for me and give me a chance to be in here ...unbelievable. Congrats to all the nominees... But anyway... this is a party, so let's enjoy it. Always wise words. Congrats to whoever get nominated. You all deserve it. But sincerely I want to hug everyone that didn't get a nomination. You all deserve much more for all your sweat, passion, patience. You're as great as the creators that are there. If many have not been chosen it's because of bad luck, or idiocy of a community that sometimes is blind towards the talent and dumb towards the works of services like the various spotlights/hidden gems/various contests. The community is not only made of top creators. If those vids teach something is that many newcomers unexpectedly bested the old school. And many talents are still hidden, and unfortunately not recognized. I hope that this Sackies won't be the next occasion to create divisions and jealousies in the Community... I for one won't vote. I simply don't want to prefer the work and dedication of a friend over the passion of another. It's a thing that I can't and don't want to do. But...good luck

Several levels I helped with have been selected, which is pretty cool... However, there are two separate categories each that have two levels I helped on! Hmmm... conundrum, luckily some of them are in multiple categories but hard decisions!

I still feel that the wrong choices were chosen. yup some levels are great and their are a few here but then there are those that are seriously weak and other creators, the unknown creators who spend a few hours on cool pages with really good levels that are well worth Mm picks before a bomb survival beats them to it. i think it should be more a choice then those few

People went to lbp.me, every single player had the ability to choose... and they chose. And now the finalists are done the same way. Regardless of whether the right levels were chosen, they were... chosen. Actually, considering the entire community got a chance to vote, I'm pretty pleased with the results. Every creator in the list is quality, all the levels are great. Many were overlooked, but that's the way the world works.

I still cannot believe that my Demented Doodles 3 level is a nominee for Best Visuals. >.< I've never received an Mm pick so I would of never expect to be a finalist for such an event. I am pitted against such creative and far more advanced creators than me I am scared, nervous and yet honored lol.
