I'm going to take her somewhere special tomorrow. We'll go out early in the morning where I will have rented us a chariot ride to take us to the highest peak of Lovers Hill where we will watch the sunrise and I'll bring us a nice breakfast with heart shaped sandwiches. After that we'll walk down to the pier and I'll win her a teddy bear and whatever her heart desires. We'll put our feet in the sand and talk about our futures and what we want to be when we grow up. After that we'll eat at one of the local spots for lunch and I'll rent us a limo to take us to one of the most famous areas in downtown where we will listen to smooth jazz and sip alcohol and talk about politics. After that we'll go watch a movie and end the night with a delicious, fancy dinner.

I might only be saying this because I'm single (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=66665-Relationships), but I don't see why we need to make a day that gives people a reason to eat high calorie, fat-ridden foods, buy useless trinkets with hearts slapped on them, and make a lot of people feel like crap just because they aren't foreveralone.jpg If you're in a healthy relationship, EVERYDAY should be valentine's day. You should show your partner some sort of appreciation EVERYDAY. And on top of that, how is fattening him/her up with artery clogging foods showing appreciation?! If anything it's domestic violence! Sigh...but to answer the OP...i'll be having a dinner date with Protools and Logic Pro...

While I could understand the gesture of showing people you love them, much like people buy each other gifts in Christmas to do something similar, I still don't get why it's "necessary" for couples. It's annoying to see someone get mad because "he didn't buy me those rings I wanted!" Honestly, they should love you everyday; this holiday is really just consumerism at work, so it's just better to just go out and eat instead of trying to buy the most expensive thing out there.

Wow guys, lol.. Even though I'm single too I still posted this because I wanted to tell everyone Happy Valentine's day, not start a love war. Even though I'm single I still wanna celebrate the love others have for each other. Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. :blush:

I don't think there's any harm about a holiday celebrating love, but just like Christmas it has become a day of frenzied consumerism. Chocolates, candy, flowers, postcards, teddy bears, jewelry and all kinds of stuff in the shape of hearts. All of which is ridiculously expensive during the days leading up to February 14th and then drops price suddenly after the day has passed. Spending a crapload of money in gifts shouldn't be the meaning of Valentine's (or any other holiday). I'm sure people could find a way to share quality time with their other halfs during Valentine's without caving in to the whims of corporate greed. You know... Do a little dance... make a little love... get down tonight!
