Robmandx and LittleBigSnooth, I will review your levels next

Playstation Home Beta by HBK89

First thing I noticed about Home Beta is that the logo used in the level badge and ingame is incorrect. The roof is too pointy. Right away this may turn people away.

Once in the level, I entered the link for the home space. Unfortunately, all the controlinators on the couch do not allow you to eject yourself from them, so you are stuck. I forced to select replay level to free myself, which sent me all the way back to the HUB. The personal space could use a MM background, as Playstation HOME spaces have gorgeous surroundings, not just blue sky. The vase on the table was beautiful, but overall the room felt empty.

Now I'm back to the HUB. Should I go left or right? Directions on where everything is at the entrance would help alot. I head to the right. Along the way there are some decorations, but the feel is very cold and unwelcoming. It almost feels like a dystopia world. Then I run into a beautiful waterfall. But in time the noise its making gets annoying. Its a shame, because the camera angle here is nice and would give two sack things a great place to converse.

Ah! A bowling alley. Its unfortunate you can only play the minigame once. When I pressed replay, I was warped to the HUB again, leaving another long journey to get back to the Bowling alley. I noticed 8 seats in the bowling alley, but with only 4 sack things allowed at a time, this will only serve to separate them further.

A little further on to the right in the HUB and there is the theater. Its a very cool idea to have hand picked levels here for people to play. But again, when returning to the HUB I'm starting to dread the long walk to find something new.

A dance pad! This works in Playstation HOME, but without an option to switch music, it doesnt work as well here.

Now I'm going to the left. Well heres some controlinators. I'm assuming this is suppose to simulate sitting. But why are well all facing a wall? The mall is a great idea. Very brillian idea having costumes available there. I can imagine you updating this regularly, which would be great.

I can't but feel lonely in the HUB. Maybe some sackbots here would liven up the atmosphere?

Overall the level feels very much like a beta, or even pre beta.

It needs alot of work, as most of it is unfinished or very rough around the edges. The idea is great, but the HUB and other parts could use a revamp and need to be finished. The final score is based more off potential then where the level is right now

My Rating: 5/10

Paw'd Episode 1 Part 1 by Robmandx

I expected something of a comedy going into this cinematic, but what I got truly surprised me for the better. There is 3 dogs, Mitch, Butch, and Bernard. Butch I'm assuming is the leader, Mitch is the samll, cute but goofy one, and Bernard is the big dumb one. If Mitch was a stuffed animal, I'd buy it! It reminds me of characters you would find in Looney Tunes. In fact, the scenery, the characters, the plot, everything, would work as a Looney Tunes episode which is extremely impressive. But most importantly, it's funny.

The 3 dogs begin to plot how to steal pizza from the Pizza man. They try several funny and bizzare methods, which is made even funnier by the Pizza man, who speaks with an Italian accent.

I would go through the cinematic level with more details, but I do not want to spoil anything.

Nature's Paradise by The_Snooth

Right away I'm taken aback by the LOTR music. A nice touch, and nice arrangement using the music sequencer. Clear water flows down in a waterfall and several streams in the background. Enough enjoying the scenery, it's time to move on.

For some odd reason the gameplay and puzzle solving reminds me of the Tomb Raider series when it was on the original Playstation. The difficulty isn't so hard, so far, and thankfully its not holding your hand, but its not frustrating at all. Pulling another switch and theres a cutscene of the environment changing somewhere else, opening a new path. Again, just like Tomb Raider and I like it.

As I'm going through the level I'm seeing alot of man-made structures, yet I havent seen anything living yet. Yes, these are probably ruins that havent been inhabited for the longest time, but I would like to have seen the birds that are chirping, or other forest life. The scenery is so vibrant and feels so alive, yet there is nothing alive on screen.

Toward the end there is a Super Mario Galaxy esque creatinator that allows you to build stepping stones out of thin air, briefly. But shortly after this the level ends, all too soon in my opinion. I wish it were a little longer.

This was a solid level with solid platform mechanics.

My Rating: 7/10

Cheers BlueEarth nicely nicely on the lovely review and thanks for the nice comments. The level was strange because it was made out of a whim lol, it was never going to be published but when I finished it I was like meh what the hell lol, Either way, the reason it was soooo short was because of the thermometer was physically off the end of the scale. It got to a point when I couldn't even edit the things in it without it being impossibly laggy. That's why it's recommended one player lol. Thanks again and great review
