How to get in/out of cars

Can anyone tell me how to make my character get in and out of vehicles in topdown? I'm trying to make a GTA level.2012-02-14 03:37:00

I assume you are already having a miniature 'vehicle' your bot sits in to move around 'on foot'. Put a tag sensor "car" on it, tag on cars. Tag sensor activates a chip that contains another receiving controlinator dedicated to the control to enter a car (label it!). Wire that control to a tag "enter car" and, to the eject input of the (auto-mounting) pedestrian vehicle's controlinator seat and (optionally) have that vehichle self-destruct a split second later. Tag sensor "enter car" on the car to a 1-shot counter, to a NOT gate, to the eject input of an auto-mounting controlinator seat on the car. Exiting the vehicle should reset the 1-shot counter and re-emit the pedestrian vehicle.

Remember that you don't need to use every controlinator seat as the main gate for control over an object: you have your player sitting somewhere at the level's entrance in a broadcasting controlinator seat, then use receiving controlinators on whatever chip you like to pick up the signal; other controlinator seats don't need to be necessarily set to 'receiving'; you can use them for appearances only - sackbots that sit in stuff.

You can put a receiving controlinator on the bot to make it appear it is making movements that you control. Check out my controlinator tutorials in my signature if you like to know more.
