One big difference is that you only have 2 thick layers that sackboy can walk on, and 3 thin layers for decoration and such, multiplayer levels are not possible, and most importantly, save your level often, and back-up your data often as well. otherwise, you may have to start it over.

Other than that, good luck!

Well, if you mean you are getting the actual PSP version, then:

-Become familiar with the corner editor; it will be your best friend from now on. You simply cannot create a good level with brushing and shapes.
-Try to keep things simple. Anything with too many moving parts (especially those with emitters or gas) will probably break or cause lag. Expect glitches to occur and things to break on occasion.
-There's no more dark matter. It's actually easier--just set objects to static if you want them to never move.
-Expect a lot to be missing. There's no global lighting (or any lighting for that matter), no water, only 2 layers, etc. Even simple things like how stickers do not wrap around onto the 3D parts of objects can cause problems for those unfamiliar with the game.
-Do not use the song Glockenpop. You will be immediately hated.
-The physics should be similar, as far as I know. I haven't played PS3 versions though.
-And lastly, have fun. Though it may seem that the create mode is limited in many ways, creators have found many ways around them and still produced amazing, fun levels.

If you meant that you're just planning on getting the Vita version, then I can say little.

The dual analog sticks and touch screen will be a huge change even for those of us accustomed to creation on a portable device. Plus, many of us (like me) know little about PS3 tools, especially new stuff to LBP2.

Anyways, welcome and good luck!
