Allow me to explain. I'll need you all to use your imaginations a bit. For our setting, picture yourself in the barely alive civilization that somehow arose out of the ashes of North America as we currently know it. The world ended, and for the few that remain, life is horrible. Imagine that all you've ever known is struggle, hardship... Hunger. There are those that took advantage of this new situation, those that took power and left the rest of the world out in the cold. Those with power walled themselves off in their ?Capital?, while the 13 districts around the capital spent every waking minute making the lives of their rulers comfortable. Rebellion was inevitable, and while the districts gave the capital everything they had, They were ultimately no match. In the chaos, District 13 was destroyed, and the capital found themselves with a new level of power far beyond what they had before. To punish the districts for their transgressions, the capital started up an annual competition. In it, 2 youths from each of the 12 districts are randomly chosen to compete in a televised fight to the death. The winner gets fame, fortune, and an easier year for their district. The losers get mourned, if even. Each year, those who run the competition create a new arena. In general, the arena is a closed off section of wilderness. Usually, game masters will implement special ways to die... traps, weapons, monsters... This March, LittleBigPlanetarium will play host to the very first LBP version of The Hunger Games. Here's how we plan on the game going. My handpicked team of some of the best creators in the LBP community will create a series of levels that will make up the ?arena.? Each round, players will choose to move to another part of the arena. When they do, they'll play the level that represents that part of the arena. If multiple people choose the same level in a round, then they'll play at the same time. When in a level with other players, its entirely up to each individual whether to cooperate with or sabotage their fellow players. In this competition, there's no voting, no building, no judging... Each player starts with a set number of lives for the season. If a player dies at any point in any of the levels, they'll lose a life from their season total. When they lose all of their season lives, they're out of the game. As time moves on, the arena will change... The terrain will get harder to traverse. New dangers will be introduced... All a player needs to do to win is survive. The last player left standing will win a $50 PSN card. Regular Game Format: Every 3-4 days, players will need to select the part of the arena that they want to move to and play that level. Players will need to join a member of our staff in order to play the level. Once the game begins, a thread will be opened to let players... interact and to keep everyone updated on everything going on. Other variations may occur and will be explained to the players as the game progresses. Doesn't LBP max out at 4 players? On the chance that more than 3 players select the same section of the arena, they'll be split up by the staff into multiple rounds. Want in? Here's what you need to do. Post in this thread saying that you want to play. Once you do, I'll send you a questionnaire to fill out. Fill it out and await further info. Potential new recruits will also need to add myself and Smurfetta5683 here and on the PSN. We may require further input from applicants before the game begins. However, there are some requirements for potential players: Be willing to check the forum at least once a day and play in a challenge once every 3-4 days. Be able to make it to the occasional scheduled meet up both in game and in Planetarium's chat. Be willing to stick with this game for as long as you're still in it. If this starts in early March, we'll probably end sometime in late March / Early April. Be able to take in game screenshots and either post them online or send them to me. Be able to respond to messages and group posts in a timely manner. Be willing to follow the rules of a given level. Be willing to follow the rules of the overall game. Finally, while this isn't a requirement, it will be beneficial for anyone playing to use Windows Live / MSN messenger or any other compatible service. They are no real limits to who can join this game. Please be somewhat coherent and have at least some grasp of how to play LBP. I also advise anyone who wishes to play to read The Hunger Games, or at least look it up to get a better feel for what we're looking to do. The winner will get A $50 PSN card! This is an interesting new take on the LBP Survivor series. I can't say I'll be able to do this, just because I'm not on LBP a ton, but, well, sometimes.

Yes this will be different from LBP Survivor but you will still compete against others and have to play LBP2 levels in order to complete the challenges. You would have to be able to complete each challenge, usually one every few days. Does that sound like something you can do? The competition should last about a month. The prize is big! A $50 PSN card!!
