Emmiter Mystery

Archive: 3 posts

I see that sometimes in lbp1 and lbp 2 they emit objects that are somewhat glued to a surface of another object! Can you tell me how they do it?

EDIT: Anyone gonna reply?

There is a few possibilities as to what they (or you) could have done.
They could have emmited the main object and the secondary object as 1 whole object (multiple objects glued together).

They could have used an Anti-Gravity Tweaker so that it stays where it is supposed to stay when emmited.
They could have used a Material Tweaker to make the emmited object sticky so that it would stick (somewhat) to the place/location/object it is being emmited towards/on.

The Anti-Gravity Tweaker and Material Tweaker are both in gadgets under "Object Tweaker" at the bottom of page 2 of the tools bag.

You gravity tweaker only if you want to emit something glued to object that you sure it won't move, since it's not really glued

Material tweaker alone is very risky to use in this job, since you need to make sure that object you emited will touch the base object right away once it's emited or else it may be displaced by force of gravity, to fix that you could use invisible hologram or sticker panel glued to emited object and can be emited inside base object and use material tweaker to stick that object to base once it's emited to make sure it glue right away and won't be displace

The both methods are weak for mobile base object, in that case you could try to use a follower+gyro combo on full speed that will follow base object and look like glued.... but it might not look pretty in multiplayer. You could also try to glue objectwith material tweaker once it's following
