Plains of Cubea; A Beta-class Bomb Survival

| I know, I know. "Another Bomb survival? How lame! Stop ruining the community! blah blah blah!" Now that I've saved you the trouble of posting that, Lets take a look at exactly what Plains of Cubea is. (bolded section is a bit of background, It can be skipped) Plains of Cubea is primarily a beta test run of a new "Engine" I'm working on for little big planet. Originally purposed for large scale use in creating a level with infinite play potential, The "So Random!" engine manages numerous variables to create a unique experience every time one plays a level. With the lack of interest my levels tend to see, I quickly ran out of steam on the idea of this project. With that, So Random! was scrapped and all of the work on related projects was deleted. Upon entering the level, The player(s) will be forced to head towards the options area in order to open a fancy energy-wall which inhibits progress. The switch which opens this path also triggers the So Random!'s Map Arbitrator (currently set to 2 per-built maps and their reverse versions) Once within the play area, So Random! begins generating random droppers, more of which become unlocked for it's usage as time goes by. The emission of these droppers is entirely randomized and can result in a chaotic, fast paced round, a slow, suspense filled battle for survival, or even a nice, relaxing run of Ore Blocks (grants 10 points upon interaction) Every play is a different set of events, so go ahead, give it a try or ten, and tell me what you think. http://lbp.me/v/9y0--2 | 2012-02-07 10:54:00 Author: Eternal_Rise  Posts: 113 |
