Anyone else still play or miss TimeSplitters?

Archive: 7 posts

Anyone fell that they are missing the TimeSplitters games. Sigh... The whole series was the pinnacle of FPS greatness that was only matched by the likes of GoldenEye and Perfect Dark before it.

The games where lighthearted, humorous and a real challenge, nothing like today's FPSes (don't get my wrong though I like them but has that "meah" feeling. Anyone else here want the fourth game to not be a carbon copy of crysis(or anything else).

And no health regen! Keep the humor and keep the challenging difficulity rant over! *

Carrian Carcas FTW I also loved being gingerbread man! I completely agree!

I loved playing Time Splitters, I only ever played multiplayer though. I tried to get into the single player but I'd watched my brother play through too much that it wasn't really that fun anymore, what a mistake that was, still fun to watch though.

If you ask me there's a severe lack of games like this, humorous I mean. They all seem to be so photo realistic and serious these days, graphics and physics mean nothing if the game's not fun :/

I loved the last one that was made, the map editor with it was madly fun to mess with; the storyline was great too.

I almost missed out on the game too, I think I got it for PS2 right after I got an Xbox360.

I can see it now dozens of multiplayer characters culled from the main game to be used as retailer exclusive pre-order incentives and overpriced DLC.2012-02-06 09:09:00

They were fun games. I made tons of maps in them but one of the best was a default map in the shape of a cross.

I wonder if the loading times, which a lot of people complained about at the time, would be considered normal now.
