Archive: 17 posts
Just curiouse to see what kind of levels are the community's favorite. Mine is platformers. I really like them the most because to me that's what this game or at least your sackling excells at but that's my opion. Don't get me wrong though some of the film type levels are very impressive and enjoyable. If you have some recommended levels that are platformers please jot the link down for me. Mine is lbp.me/v/x-js80 thx | 2012-01-31 05:54:00 Author: Unknown User |
Platformers, without a doubt. People forget LBP was born as a platformer and STILL IS a platformer, sometimes seeing all these movies and RPG's depresses me, but on a high note, good platformers.. K.. here we go.. Lockstitch- Check out all his levels, best in LBP (my opinion). Toykyomegaplex - Check all his out, one was MM pick but he deleted it >.< Alley-Cat-8633 - Check out Act 1-3 of his, simply amazing. Legoloco - His Cillian level series is turning out nice! Check it out ATMLVE - He's made three platformers, all unique and fun so try em out! L1ghtmare - His steampunk scalleywag series is a good choice. Comphermc - He has several levels worth playing. Any level made in LBP2 are must plays! Fotosymphesis - His Littlebigdesert level was highest rated ever, until MM took it down by accident! Jump_Button - His sky town series is unqiue and fun, great use of the balloon. Rikirikita - Any of his levels is a must play. His EOP series is amazing, fast paced and fun. Luos_83 - He makes some of the most beautifully scenic levels in LBP2! Lfiers - His more recent work are amazing. Unique and fun! Those should get you started, you can always hit me up and check out my hearted list for a vast selection! Have fun! | 2012-01-31 12:09:00 Author: Unknown User |
I love a good puzzle level. Sneaky Steve (who is a member of this forum) makes good ones. Also, try: Running Bot - Bikerider12 Coal Cart Calamity - ladylyn1 Puzzling Power Plant - Insomnia-FM | 2012-01-31 12:18:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |
Hmm i go more for unique levels myself. I find platformers ok but i like to see a creator make something from scratch then using sack bots all the time. There are some very fun unique platformers that i appreciate though but i do like top down levels or anything new and creative more. I'm not that keen on puzzle games or movie levels though. A few interesting platformers are The Explorers - By Cymbol http://lbp.me/v/7vsrzq Jak and Daxter - by Damaz10 http://lbp.me/v/5nced4 Paris is for Lovers - By TOBSN08 http://lbp.me/v/4yrt70 Flame Broiled Fury - By Foofles http://lbp.me/v/0wv9cj Steam City - By Blanchroker http://lbp.me/v/t-czpb | 2012-01-31 12:35:00 Author: Lordwarblade Posts: 761 |

Platformers! My favorite guys: 1. RikiRiki-Ita: Overall incredible! 2. lockstitch: Overall fantastic! 3. comphermc: Overall awesome. Plus, he has tutorials on YouTube. 4. mnniska: Overall awesome. Plus, he has SpeedCreate (videos of him creating at 8x speed and him doing commentary on it) on YouTube. 5. MrMik68: Don't boo his levels because of bad visuals. His amazing gameplay makes up for it! | 2012-01-31 13:47:00 Author: L1N3R1D3R Posts: 13447 |
Platformers. And not only in LBP, I enjoy games with solid platforming in general. I love me some classic LBP adventure platforming. | 2012-01-31 16:29:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |
Mrmik doesn't have bad visuals, that's just the style he choose to use, which in my opinion works. I still play his LBP1 levels, they are pure genius. I'm a platformer as well. I love a good platform level, no story, no cutscene that shows me that this switch opened that door that I'm standing beside, no long dialogue to poor through, just run jump and swing and bounce. I love levels that have awesome contraptions to convey me from point A to point B. Like a lot of the stuff in Interkinetic or rikiriki-ita's levels. Don't get me wrong, I like an epic adventure too, I just don't want to be playing a level for an hour. I play them all, but my favorites are platformers. | 2012-01-31 17:40:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
@biorogue: I meant "bad" as in simplistic and not at all fancy, but yeah. | 2012-01-31 23:33:00 Author: L1N3R1D3R Posts: 13447 |
Really bad LBP1 levels. They can be hilarious! | 2012-02-01 01:59:00 Author: lemurboy12 Posts: 842 |
I mostly enjoy platformers, because they're just simply awesome. And when a platformer's good, it's VERY good. I also enjoy a good competetive level that makes me want to chew the heads off of my oh so dear friends. (I also specialize in making these) I love any level by Enochroot. They just have this...this, odd feeling in them that no other level in LBP or LBP2 has. Which is awesome. And that's it......FOR NOW! (duh duh duh) | 2012-02-05 12:36:00 Author: Unknown User |
I too am a fan of platformers. There are so many gimmicky gadget levels nowadays. I don't think people forgot what LBP originated from, but rather that they forgot that platformers are okay to make. We've become a hard crowd to please, and platformers used to be so common. Now, I barely see any. Only short movies, costume levels, prize levels, DLC levels, and all of that other stuff. What happened to the fun stuff? I wish we were like the early community; seeing every new level as amazing and experimenting with new and fun ideas. It didn't matter how it looked, just how it played. I like going back to the roots and picking out a nice platforming level to have fun in. Just earlier today, there was a platformer that wasn't too bad, but it got tons of dislikes because it had no music and "bad design". It looked good! Whatever. Rant over . | 2012-02-05 12:43:00 Author: Sackpapoi Posts: 1195 |
Platformers, or just adventure games in general. Even if they're just the generic rock cavern / ice cave / lava cave etc, I really really enjoy exploring through them. | 2012-02-08 01:22:00 Author: Unknown User |

I enjoy eny level that's fun to play, but I me a good platformer level, and a level that lets me have fun with some of my frineds, whether it be offline or online. But I LOVE playing and creating platformer levels. | 2012-02-10 02:32:00 Author: Cobaltor Posts: 222 |
RPG's, platformers, and top down VS levels tie together to me. I couldn't choose one over the other. | 2012-02-11 17:11:00 Author: Tmjtk Posts: 258 |
With out a scrap of doubt I love platformers. Something about running through something that has so much detail in that it can give MM a run for their money is so exciting. The technology and decoration alot of good creators put into platformers is overwhelming and are still the most fun to play. Okay sure, creating a scrolling shooter is very clever but the tech and decs are behind closed doors. Where as with a platformer? You can see the contrast of materials and the flow of play, you can see the lighting and the sounds change as needs be and you can live the story the creator wanted you to live when they were making this ever expansive multiplayer masterpiece. Platformers are what LittleBigPlanet is all about to me | 2012-02-14 14:45:00 Author: LittleBigSnooth Posts: 454 |
