It fact, it was really hard to find anything worthwhile. The few DECENT ones I played still lacked the aesthetic flavor I was looking for... and on top of that none seemed to take advantage of the advanced Gameplay features offered in LBP2 (such as sackbots, controllinators and such..) Long story short - I realized that if I wanted things done right, I had to take matters into my own hands... and so that's what I did. And this is the result of my efforts: A Killzone-themed project aiming at replicating the original feel of the games, with all the atmosphere and aesthetics you would expect from a true KZ title... http://i0.lbp.me/img/ft/d2077734e44f0293d73ef9d6f8f786294be92fb6.jpg Think of it is a Killzone 'Level Pack', but FREE... The story is primarily focused around the locations and events found in Killzone 2, with some LBP-style satire and humor mixed in I won't spoil all the details, but one of the things you can expect is a revamped opening Speech featuring "Sacklar Visari"... http://ic.lbp.me/img/ft/06c35e52bec07f2618236f409f5de4b9d4d2c77d.jpg GAMEPLAY: The Level at present features the Player taking control of a "Main-character" Sackbot throughout the course of the level. The reason I did this is because it allows me to use logic otherwise impossible with ordinary sackfolk; and allows me to tweak the finer details in order to offer an improved overall "feel". http://i4.lbp.me/img/ft/e4444a39632e46e1f7e4b5f03f39b57d14d8dcb5.jpg Features of the current Sackbot include: -Health Bar -Modified 'Paintinator' made to fire unique bullet objects rather than paint -Muzzle flash (which while firing produces dynamic lighting) -Support for Player Checkpoints -The ability to throw Grenades (Only somewhat functional at present) http://i2.lbp.me/img/ft/8c2ed62d0d3cf27f3deb7d6903bc388b64507e04.jpg I'll soon add more features to the list as they make their way towards completion. The level features other cool stuff too, such as: -Environmental objects (such as Garbage bags, Pallets, and even lights) are destructible -'KILLZONE' themed Props and stickers (from both the KZ2 and KZ3 Minipacks, as well as some custom ones) -Careful use of lights and shadows to generate a unique Atmospheric setting -Dynamic Enemy AI, with functioning health bars and the ability to use cover and fire at you with specially-tailored bullet objects http://i9.lbp.me/img/ft/bd90b2ceb6f7e33c7ac38b4e1fe2b2474f8e22cb.jpg EXTRA INFO: I'm currently thinking of expanding on my initial Single-Player idea by instead featuring 2 or 4-player Co-op action. This is still in the conceptual stage so I'm not quite sure if I'll end up making it co-op or not. On the one hand, it'd be a blast to play through with a few buddies; but on the other hand, I don't want to ruin the immersive aspect of the overall project... This seems VERY well done as compared to the small amounts of poor- quality KZ levels out there. I have been in your position when I bought the original pack in LBP1 so many years ago. Really can't wait to play an actual level based on the games, and not some dark-matter filled ball of rubbish. The costume for Visari looks fantastic, and the backdrops look well made, my only gripe at the moment is that the floor of the original backdrop is visible. I'm not sure if the pictures are just a beta- testing level. Adding some flooring shouldn't be too hard, and it'll look even better than the cement flooring you currently have. But the Gameplay section pictured is still WIP and subject to rigorous change, so I'll probably have that fixed by the time it's finished. Thanks for the input! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I need some help with the title... 'LittleBigKillzone' is the best I've got so far... "Thrillzone" or "Sackzone" are among the other choices (something fun and clever which takes the "Kill" out of the title might be good... in order for it to be a more community friendly level). Well, I do agree with you but if you implement the right types of gameplay (stunning/ killing enemies, but not as quickly, Sometimes the 2nd player would have to seperate from the first player to scan out the area for enemies, etc. I thinks that could be REALLY fun. I don't believe paintinators are the best way to go. I honestly think if you were to create the gun (similar to how they are in the Stars Wars Battlefront MM pick) it could be more effective and if you figure out how, you could even cycle weapons. And the guns for that project look REALLY good! ... but from what I can tell they can't actually be held by a sackbot, which is what I intend to do in my levels.
