It's really simple, but makes complete sense. When your making your levels folks, please stop putting useless objects for other players to collect. I mean seriously... it's really getting out of hand on some peoples levels. Giving me a wooden box with stickers painted all over it, or some object you created that only has relevance to that specific level I'm playing is not only useless, but it's also extremely annoying for the rest of us to have to go into our objects and start deleting a bunch of useless stuff. My point is this... try to be creative with your prize objects. I don't mind getting creatures you've made, or a new trap you've come up with, but if it's something the rest of us could have made on our own, chances are we aren't going to want it... or keep it. I think most of us would rather play your level and not receive useless prizes than go through it and wind up on the other end of it with 5 minutes of deleting to do. The only thing your going to accomplish is making me go back and giving your level a poor rating... at least once for every useless prize you gave me. Oh... and can anyone tell me what moderator or who we need to contact to get rid of those annoying "PRIZE LEVELS" with over a hundred and thirty six prizes or more? If your going to make a prize level, take the time to add speech bubbles above each prize and give us a path around them so we can decide which prizes we would like to grab, instead of catapulting us into an area chock full of them. I'm usually not one to complain if I can help it, but it's all getting very out of hand with the prize bubbles... don't you think? I'm just getting tired of doing "spring cleaning" after going through four or five peoples levels online. > | 2008-12-29 11:04:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
just dont play them, every game has its "cube-levels" as we called them in the ut comm. crap levels that nobody want to play. and those who do like them are probably the kind of people that cant think for themselves or think that you gain more trophies when you enter the level... or gain 1000000000 points. but I do agree, I tend to jump over prizes especially since 1 more item will make my lbp go.. you reached max limit, cant save.. | 2008-12-29 12:27:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |

Saying "just don't play them" is, unfortunately, not a realistic answer to the problem. I've played several levels now where once you reach the finish podium, a bunch of useless random prizes rain down on you... so it's sometimes un-avoidable. I have jumped over many bubbles trying to avoid the prizes recently though, so I'm with you on that. As for the "Prize" levels, I have played only one (not knowing what I was in for) once.... and avoided all others since. I think making a prize level is cheap at best, but like I said... if your going to make one, at least put some effort into it. I played a GREAT costume level someone made where they put pics up as you went along of the various costumes, and the prize bubbles associated with each costume underneath the pics. It was a great idea because if i didn't want the stickers in the prize bubbles, I could in fact just jump over them. | 2008-12-29 13:36:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
On my current level, I'm keeping this in mind. No random stupid prizes. AND, all prizes are OPTIONAL. Just a tip, for anyone who can't figure out a way to make prize bubbles optional, put them behind a layer of glass. | 2008-12-29 21:49:00 Author: DRT99 Posts: 431 |

An idea just occured to me. I want to have some prizes in my level for acing it. But those prizes aren't optional. So, if you want to ensure someone aces the level to collect these prizes, have a prozimity switch that covers the whole level. If they ever die, they will momentarily be outside this, long enough to trigger a switch to permamnently close a door at the end containing the prizes. | 2008-12-29 21:58:00 Author: BassDeluxe Posts: 984 |
I should make a level where you have to dodge useless items. | 2008-12-30 01:37:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |
I should make a level where you have to dodge useless items. I do that during normal levels. | 2008-12-30 01:38:00 Author: Killian Posts: 2575 |
I should make a level where you have to dodge useless items. Hehe... you could call it "Rustbukkit's Aggrivation Level". | 2008-12-30 04:51:00 Author: Rustbukkit Posts: 1737 |
