| First and foremost, I must say, I know this thread is in the wrong section, but I posted here due partially to this weird glitch itself. I've been able to access LBPC fine during today, but out of the blue later today, there was this weird messup. Basically, every time I tried going to the LBPC forum page, a.k.a. lbpcentral.com/forum/forum.php, it gives me the following message. "Hello, mister CC, it seems you ignored my email? so if you want to re-think my offer how about you give me an email? **********@gmail.com, thanks very much!" It is as if a random message has been generated, replacing the LBPC forum page for me. I have bleeped out the e-mail on purpose, incase it was not meant to be seen by others. Now, the reason I put this in the General chat instead of the section it should be in (which I forgot the name of) is because I just got this new laptop after my other computer crashed for the third time, and I haven't went in those sections really, mostly just in the 'General stuff' Area, thus I posted here in General Chat, since I was available to get to it. | Do we know who this was? Surely CC has an idea. He apparently has some e-mail with an offer. Clearly it was a Nigerian Prince offering a transferal of money... At least CC's in control again. | I actually talked to the hacker earlier. They're not that bad. The original e-mail was something about the hacker warning CC that the site was 'in danger'. When CC didn't respond or acknowledge the e-mail, the hacker decided to show CC just 'how much danger' the site was in. He got a reply from CC after that, sent his reply, and as of a few hours ago, the hacker was waiting for a reply. | Well, it seems as though Anonymous has finally attacked LBPC... jk But still... sorta makes you wonder what's really going down here. I mean, I had a feeling that this was going to happen, but exactly what they're asking for remains a mystery to the rest of us. If this is for something that happened on LBP, then it's pathetic. If it's something that happened here or on another LBP-related site, it's concerning. But if this is something else entirely... I have a bad feeling about this. And I don't like standing on the sidelines. I almost feel tempted to trace the address back to the original IP and send a worm their way (either that or send them a Trojan or some other form of virus). But that'd be mean of me. We ought to wait on word from CC or even the hacker her/him/itself before initiating any action. EDIT: Yeah, the Planetarium said that LBL and LBN also got hacked, but so far I don't see any major changes to their sites. | For me everything is now all right. Not sure if it has been said, but only the home page and the forums main menu were blocked off. | I emailed the hacker when it first happened( rather, when I first tried getting on the site, like, 8:30 EST on the 14th) I thought it might be something do do with SOPA ( I don't know if Confused Cartman is pro) and the hacker was like "If you stop supporting SOPA, I won't hack your site!"
