Added some photos. I'm surprised that they are in good quality at lbp.me, because in-game quality is pretty poor.2012-01-11 23:10:00

Hey Nejimelliko! Tried your level today but I just can't get past the horror part, where there is some fugly thing blocking my path and arms scrambling on the walls... What the heck am I supposed to do there? =O2012-01-16 18:43:00

Thanks for playing. You should've grab them heads until they squash. I changed that scene a little and added hologrammed tip.2012-01-18 13:06:00

I really like the library part of this level but then when it changed so did my feelings about this level. I think you have a real good thing going in the library part and I was looking forward to a long adventure with the same type of gameplay. But then when got to the horror part, not only did it seem like a different level, but a different author all together. I feel you should separate the two styles and save them for their own levels. I do think that both parts are fun, I just think they clash too much. Overall pretty decent and I would say worthy of 3.5 stars. The look of the level is very well done, but again the two styles clash a bit for my liking.

Good Job!

Do you mean next level in level link? Or part after the picture till the link? because it's the only part that was supposed to be horror. About style change, it was my idea: you wander in normal library and then you getting thrown into completely different world.
Thanks for playing, queued your level.

I just really like the exploration and thinking aspect of the library part. Once I felt like I was getting into the groove of what you were offering, it changed. Once the lights go out it just feels too different. Not that the parts after the lights go out aren't fun, but I feel the library part is superior. I would love to see how you do an entire level/game in the same style as the library. All in all everything is pretty quality work!2012-01-18 22:20:00

Hi, I played this level and thought you did a great job with the decorating. I too got stuck on the monster blocking the path, I squashed loads of body parts and moved a glass block jumped up on things. I eventually grabbed a cog with an eye on it. It's not clear what you have to do, however the puzzle element is something I like in a level. I also had to figure out the boss that sends the creatures into the plazma wall. That is not obvious. Can't remember where the level link came in but the gameplay on the second half was better than the first. When I got to the end I got killed by the scenery falling apart and then the game ended. How do you complete it ?.
Overall I liked it, bit confusing if your not a puzzle solver like me. It looks good.

I hope you can give my Charitable Crisis another try, I think you would like it if you can figure out how to get out of the first room. (just open a door with R1).

There are tips on the walls for both events you had trouble with. I guess I'll make short cutscene and zoom to these tips, so it will be more clear. Scenery falling apart? It's after you beat moster with many eyes? That's a bug, I should check it.
Thanks for feedback.

Great attention to detail I must say!
The atmosphere was pretty great! But like the others before me, I couldn't get past the horror part, with the hologram.
Theres too much grabable stuff, torso and legs and arms that its hard to grab anything specific ><", maybe make them ungrabbable?

I like this one lots. I will say, though, that the bit with the stuff you're supposed to grab and squash is just a bit too vague. I feel a lot of people are simply going to give up there. I grabbed most everything I could see, dangled off of it, prodded around for a good few minutes, before I thought that okay, maybe I'm supposed to make the swinging arms get me past the monsters? So I tried that and actually made it happen after a few tries, bypassing the "puzzle" completely.

The other, similar areas work well, I'd say. There is one bit where you drop right down into some jaws which feels a bit cheap, making it impossible to ace the level on the first go unless you get lucky, but the puzzle itself works well. The visuals are all well done and fun, though they do get a little in the way of gameplay at times... Sometimes it's tough to see where the heck you're supposed to be jumping and how to get there in the tangle, so you just fumble around until you're vaguely in the right place.

Boss battle in the middle was confusing but fun. At one point I got stuck in a revive-and-die loop when those tentacle-things had gathered under the top checkpoint, so you might wanna make sure one's safe there somehow. I got out of it after a little bit, but it was frustrating while it happened. The boss battle itself is set up well, though, and it was fun finding out how to do it, even though the zoomed-out camera got a little in the way at times: Once I was inside the beast, I spent a while firing at blocks and wondering why I wasn't making progress, which was solved by me shifting to the outer layer.

In the end I hearted it. With some minor tweaks, this could be a really GREAT level.

Thank you for such detailer review.
I don't know why people find that squashing hard, maybe I'm too familiar with LBP engine or with my level so I can do it easily. I'll try tweak it again and put some blocker above the hearth. Only completely crazy person would try to ace my level, even ace prize is a joke. About confusing and tangle, do you think arrow stickers would help?

Thanks for the feedback of Cybernetic Adventures Omega. The library at the beginning looks pretty good, but the underground area could use some polishing. At the beginning of the sub level, you should have add some sort of a platform near the monster to prevent players from instant death. The rock materials in the sub level could use more corner edits to make this level more polished. This level is pretty decent, but some nice ideas, including the monster eating some weird one-eyed monsters and layer-changing books, gave this level some fun factor.
VISUALS: 3.5/5
SOUND: 4/5
GAMEPLAY: 3.5/5
OVERALL: Above average but mostly a yay
