Does anyone have any tips on making detailed stickers for costumes? And can you do shading on stickers without using paint?

Sort of.... You can layer colours and use some of the fade stickers to make white hilights and darker shadows. It can get pretty fiddly getting it right especially when trying to do the face. With paint even if you suck at being artistic (like me) paint really helps you. Example a simple thin grey line in paint makes creating with it fantastic. http://if.lbp.me/img/ft/46ff9a59b0ea11bcc7f586746d013a038e5338de.jpg The lines on the columns behind the guy in the muscle shirt are paint. The girl is wearing a checked dress that I made using the animated grid glass set to purple with 0% animation. I rotated it 45 degrees and took a photo of it. It may be hard to see in the pic but it looks great in game. I guess the tip is to be creative. Also try to get all of the colour combinations you need onto one sticker as there is a limit to how many the costume bits can take. Also, you can enlarge a Sackbot and decorate it, then capture it's costume. It helps a little with sticker placement if the bot is larger. You can also pose its arms with batteries if you need to.

Use a sackbot to start with, either load a costume you want to edit or make one from scratch, make the sackbot as big as possible then add decorations, although i must add if you add to many decorations and plan to have many characters like this in one game it will take a bit more thermo than desired.

Nice buildings btw, and with custom stickers for the face with certain colors like grey and black if theres lines it sometimes shows weird different colored blocks any way to get rid of those?

I think this happens if there is too much contrast between colours. It's the compression used by the game that causes it.

It seems the compression of stickers has been worse ever since the patch 1.06 (Move) (http://getsatisfaction.com/littlebigplanet/topics/extremely_bad_photo_quality_after_1_06). Hopefully it will get fixed soon. Custom in-level signs and badges for levels are suffering quite a bit with the current compression...

Also, you can enlarge a Sackbot and decorate it, then capture it's costume. If a maximum enlarged sackbot is not large enough for you, search the community for 'giant sackbot'. It brings up a few levels that give away pre-patch glitched bots of humongous proportions.

I has me one of these. They are very useful. Just don't use the to put decos on. When you use it as a normal sized costume and grab stuff they go large again and look weird. The decos that is, not the costume.

Yeah I got one too, but the detailed stickers may look good on it but when your wearing it sometimes you can't see the detail cause its so small.

Just incase you didn't already know, you can turn your sackboy around (i.e. you can look at his/ her right hand side, left hand side, and back) when you're putting stickers/ decorations on him/ her by pressing R1/ L1. http://i4.lbp.me/img/fl/a34fab7844c5da472fa20b6fbbffa1c64ab6a6eb.jpg
