Cant hear sound on LBP2 help

| So, I don't know... what a weird and annoying fail :S I was hoping rebooting the ps3 would work... so, I wonder... maybe the LBP2 sound settings? Or a bug? Try to play other games to see if the failure happens with any game or only with LBP2 If it happens only with LBP2, look to the LBP2 Settings related with sound settings. If that doesn't resolve the problem, I would uninstall the game data (but first save your profile and levels in an USB device for preventing a cathastrophe) and then install it again. | Do you hear sounds when jumping and opening popit, or no sounds at all ? Is it only in one level ? If so, I guess it's the level settings. Else, have you tweaked any audio option recently ? I had the "muted game glitch" which happens sometimes in LBP2 where there's no sound at all or very few, but resetting fixed it. | Well I'm sorry, I can't help you. When was your last backup ? You could do a backup now, go back to a previous one and if it works, you'll know it's corrupted data. | If the sounds are loaded from the HDD reinstalling should have fixed it. I can't think that it would be a defect on the disc but it might be worth looking. When you have this problem with PC games it's usually outdated or corrupt drivers or how you have something configured, but with a console there's not much you can do other than play with the sound settings. | Try to defrag your system in safe mode. http://community.us.playstation.com/thread/627262?start=0&tstart=0 "Rebuild the database" is a defrag, that may work, if it doesnt im sorry, though it does make the overall performance of the PS3 system better. You could use the recovery menu (http://www.semperthree.com/ps3recoverymenu.html) and try the restore file system option but this likely won't resolve the problem.
