Multiple dimmer switches?

Archive: 9 posts

I have a three frame animation made of holo that's in a looped sequence at a target time of 0.1 seconds per frame. I know there's a dimmer option, but I can't figure out how to have all three frames gradually increase in brightness percentage simultaneously while only appearing when they are selected in the animation. Because of my simple timer based dimmer logic, the frames are always visible, defeating the purpose of any animation. I'm not sure how else to clarify, but if something isn't clear, please feel free to ask questions. Thanks for any help!2012-01-10 01:52:00

Um... I was going to say OR Gate... But then I read and that's not what you meant...

Then I was going to say to run the timers through an AND Gate that also has the 'selected in the animation' thing running into it. If that made sense.

But pictures may help...

Hmm... I'll check out your suggestion later tonight, but I gotta run in a minute. For now, to put it another way, let's just say I'm trying to make a three frame animation gradually brighten as a whole--as though it were a single entity. I'll upload some pictures later.2012-01-10 02:34:00

yeah, run the 3 outputs from your sequencer into three 2 port AND gates then wire the output of your timer to the spare input of all three AND gates, then wire the AND gates to your holo frames set to dimmer2012-01-10 04:50:00

If you want them to dim you will have to set the tiner to 0.2, them connect it to 3 counters that are set to reset themselves, have their times set to 0.2 as well, and change their input features to Forwards/Backwards, not connect each timer to your holo frames in the order of your choice and you should have what you need.2012-01-10 05:08:00

Counters don't have 'times' or a 'forwards/backwards' input feature.

he also wants them to be at the same dimmer strength when they swap, not for each to fade in as it's turned on
