Scoreboards down in LBP1? They work in 2.

I figured this topic could be posted in either LBP1 or 2 forum.

NOTE: I haven't been keeping up to date on forums or online in a while, and didn't feeling like digging for answer.

I was playing LBP1 today and cleared a level that felt good to finally beat after 2 years of putting it off. But when I was on LBP2 a moment ago I noticed I was not on the scoreboard and no score showed in recent activity. Also, it was not score upload fail issue. Then I remembered this past week a friend has been telling me that scores aren't working in LBP. I told him maybe it was temporary or score upload fail. Turns out it isn't a temporary glitch.

They seem to work in LBP2. Has MM said anything about scores being down in LBP1? I hope not and if they are I hope it's temporary. I would quit LBP on the spot if MM shut down LBP1 scores for good. Because many of us that play the hardest levels in LBP as a hobby are still working on some goals in LBP1 and completing them, dividing our time between 1 and 2. LBP1 is the golden age of LBP extreme platforming. Many of us still play on a regular basis.		2012-01-08 09:48:00

in all honesty, it's probably easier for them to keep the LBP1 scoreboards off than to fix the exploit (i'm not sure if the overlord glitch is possible in lbp1).2012-01-08 16:10:00

Yeah, but still seems odd to do that, especially without announcing it. So someone reading this topic has to know something. Surely MM didn't just do that without notice.

Also, I love LBP too much to quit, so guess I didn't mean what I said in topic, but still very disappointing, sad day. Feels like the death of half the game.

What I don't get is what merging servers actually means. I would of thought since LBP1 and 2 servers were merged that shutting down scoreboards would mean for both games, not just one.
