Using followers. Speedynutty68 was a bit speedy here
Followers will follow players by default, though it only follows the closest player so it might look weird. If it is possible in your level, I recommand using controllable bots for the players, this way you can make the object follow a specific player by placing a tag on the sackbot's chip and setting the follower to follow tag. If you want to give room to the player so he doesn't get crushed by the object, you should make sure the acceleration is around 50% and speed is moderate (what speedynutty wrote applies if you want to make a health meter follow the player, or a hitbox). You can also set a minimum range of detection so the object stays a bit away from the player. You can set it or not to "allow up-down". Just remember to make it anti-gravity with a gravity tweaker. If you get too far from it, then it will move towards the player.

You can also get funky with a speed sensor and some tags. If you set up a bit of holo to folly a player and also put a speed sensor on there that outputs to a tag, and then make something that has a tag sensor on it, set to signal strength, that is connected to a mover you can place it in the environment and it will always stay that distance away from the player...2012-01-08 06:21:00
