Dangerous Delivery part 1, 2 and 3!

Archive: 13 posts

Hello new friends! ^_^

I'm here to show you my levels, that are a little under apreciatted =/
Unfortunately, I haven't been playing for a long time, and the oficial forum got a little too old and seems like no one posts there, so I came here to LBP Central, were I knew I would be well-received

Well, let's talk about the levels, haha! They are "Dangerous Delivery, Dangerous Delivery, Part. 2, and Dangerous Delivery, Part. 3. The next level only unlocks if you get the key on the prior level. So start by the first one.

Dangerous Delivery tells the story about a treasure that Uncle Jalape?o found, but he needs this explosive cargo to open the sacred shrine, so your mission is to deliver it to him by train, and by going through some cool contraptions.

The levels aren't the BEST out there, because I know i'm not so good, but please, have a heart, play, and if you like it, heart it, and leave a comment, please

I still don't have the Creator Trophy and I'm looking into it.
So, thank you for playing!

First of all, these levels definitely deserve more attention that they are getting. I liked how they worked visually, particularly the conveyor belt in part 2 and the chamber entrance in part 3. The overall gameplay has a nice story level feel to it, especially with the tech being visible. It works. Of course, possibly the most important part is that the level worked consistently, meaning nothing broke down, I was actually able to finish all three levels without difficuty.
A little less direction wouldn't hurt too much. For instance, you might have a message to leave the cargo somewhere, and as the player gets closer, you say it again. It's one thing to want the player to be able to finish the level, that's fine, but I got the feeling that I wouldn't have to figure anything out for myself. The puzzles aren't very difficult so maybe let the player work through it more often. Of course that excludes the "big" puzzle in part 3. Before I realized what to do, I was thinking, "of all the places not to give a hint..." but a bit of memory catching up with me fixed that of course.
Good work on these, I think I'll actually go back and heart them, they're worth it.

I had a little trouble in part 1. during the train ride where I have to blow the walls apart, the walls blew up but left residual pieces barely visible, but the train would not pass. I'll definitely return though as I want to finish the series.2012-01-08 21:00:00

First of all, thank you all for playing! It makes me very happy to know that someone is liking my levels. ^_^

As you can see, I made these levels when I was a begginer on LBP, I was trying to make some levels based on the story of the Canyons, because I loved that part of LBP.

Yesterday I was playing with a young player, and he accidentally pulled the cargo using the jet pack and completely ruined the playthrough, so we had to restart. Then I began to see that my level had some flaws, I know they aren't perfect, so today I began fixing them, I started with the first one, and hopefully, with your tips I will make them perfect =D

Sorry for that part of the conveyor belt, that is "a person with too much time on their hands" working, haha!
About the directions: I was concerned about the player trying to go on without taking the train and failing the level, so that's the reason why there is so much "directions". I will try to tone it down a little =)
See, that last part on lvl 3, I was trying to give it a little "Uncharted" feel so I hid the hint a little back, no one would see it, then they would need to go back and see it again. xD It was a little fun, wasn't it?
I want to say, thank you very much for playing, and for the tips, I'm working on the final elevator on part 1, but already fixed the cart and the cargo, and already published, so if you wanna play it again, you are welcome. =D

Hey friend! Thank you very much for the tip, I will fix that too! I will put some little explosives to guarantee that every bit is "blown".
Thank you very much for playing! =D

BigTuna820

Thank you man! Hope you have a good time playing it! =D

I already republished the part 1 with some fixes, and I'm working on the other levels on the week, so expect more updates =)
Sorry for the big post, and sorry about my english, it's not my first language ^^

Hello again!

I'm happy yo share the new updates to my level...
I fixed some flaws, and made some better contraptions, so the player can do the objectives more clearly =)
I've made an elevator on the end of the level, it was very difficult, but I made it like the "advanced elevator from lbpc". I hope it works well ^^

If you guys wanna play it again, you are invited!

I will begin to make some changes on the other 2 levels too, so they are more "fail-proof".
Thank you very much for playing my levels!

Hello! I played your levels, and I really liked them! Gamepley-wise, I don't have much to say, except really great. Sound-wise, you could try to stick to one music rather than changing between them all the time. That's sort of what keeps the signature of the level IMO. Design-wise, you've also done a great job, especially on the train and on the statue-scene at the end with jalapeno in the helicopter, but I'm noticing you're using a lot of square edges. That's not very pretty, so if I were you, I'd try to think about those squares. Even houses that are man-made doesn't look very good in LBPs cartoon-style when they're squared, so just keep an eye out for it.

Feel free to try out my level!
