I just had a simple question that I didn't feel deserved its own thread (and I may have more as I am new) so I thought I would start a general thread (unless the admin would prefer specific threads for purposes of searching). My question: How long should I expect to receive notification of my donation to the site? I donated to the site almost a week ago and I have yet to receive any sort of confirmation that my donation was received. I have the e-receipt from the transaction but I don't necessarily trust Paypal so I just wanted to be sure my donation went through. I don't mind the ads, heck I've seen one for the company I work for (which made me smile), I just wanted to be sure the transaction was received. My feedback: This is a great site which is why I was happy to donate. Thanks for maintaining this.

We like specific threads, so like in this case the title should be Donations or something of that nature. Though some put "I have a question" which is ok, but not very helpful to those searching for the same answer. First off, thanks so much for the contribution! We really appreciate the extra help to keep this site going! Confused Cartman our lovable admin, or CC as we like to call him, has been away at school and recently on break. So it may be that he has simply hasn't had time to check his email for a bit to see your donation come through and get you set up. I am sure he will get it set up within a week and if not, let us know and we can try other forms of communication to alert him to check that email account. Thanks again!

Thanks for the update. I wasn't concerned about my contribution being honored. I had a feeling the admin might be otherwise occupied, just wasn't sure how occupied. edit: also, jw, thank you for editing thread title appropriately to make it more specific

I'm sorry! I've been without a consistent source of internet for almost the entire past week - I'm helping family move cross-country - so I haven't been able to do anything site-related. I'm finally in a hotel with internet I can use, so it should be fixed now! Thank you so much for you contribution (P.S. Because I took so long, I added an extra 20% on to your donor status period. Not as good as being prompt, I know, but hopefully it helps )

Regardless, the extra 20% is appreciated (although not expected).

Ummm larger avatar that can be animated gif's, more pm inbox space (I think), no commercials (yay) and a nice happy smile knowing you helped out. ..there could be a few more things, but I can't remember offhand! lol

Lol you braggadocious thing you, thank you much for your info Jww, I really hope more people start donating, it scared me a few months ago when the site was in danger of going under because the add company or whatever wouldnt pay up, was when i first joined and very scary lol. i wont let that happen once i have a decent job.
