I made an automatic paintinator, and my metal slug tank fires paint tipped shells at an extremely high speed... it's actually pretty easy to create. The only problem is portability, but making them moveable only comes down to design, scale, material, and wether you can integrate it into a vehicle of sorts. I'm currently expirimenting with floaties to make a portable version. Look up my PSN name and find the level "Automatic Paintball Rifle DEMO" - it's a pretty nice custom object if you ask me, and I'm not sure if anyone's done it yet. | 2008-12-28 10:57:00 Author: Unknown User |

Ummm... remember this is LBP, the E rated game... I don't think dismemberment is the point of the game. Personally I don't see bigger and badder weapons as having a place in LBP. I see it as a fun game of exploration and imagination, rather than an excuse for voilence... The paint gun introduces interesting game mechanics, yes, but I just cannot see it being made more... deadly. That's kind of the exact opposite of what the spirit of the game is about, at least for me. Of course you could point to something like loony toons (well, if your old you can) and it's ridiculous use of violence and explosives... but, well, that isn't necessarily the right way for the game to head. you do know that everything you have mentioned can be created in a sense right? portable machine gun paintanator: use the jetpack exploit (when you can use a jetpack, lock yourelf inside of a machine with the jetpack on, then you go behind the wall (you have to be behind it when you put the jetpack and lock your self in your firing pod)) and you can fire stuff and you can movie it anywhere and then just grab when you want to fire the paintanator grenade: dissolve material circle, eminators (i think i can not remember any more) all over the place on the circle (preferedly all around the sides) and have each one release 2 or 3 projectiles, step on a button, it launches, lands a few seconds later it shoots and a quick moment later, it dissolves. any other ones, i can think how to create it, try me. we do not need this stuff, the current one i think is kinda cool, besides it is really a challenge you you guys to try and make a better one ^.^ Cheers1 Cheers! | 2009-01-01 04:15:00 Author: RAINFIRE Posts: 1101 |

I dont see a need for any modification to the paintinator itself. I can fast tap quick enough to where its practially a steady stream of paint and when I dont need to shoot that fast just holding in auto mode works fine. The FOV of the game is already limited so a sniper version would be pointless. From what I have heard, take the paint gun power up, pause the game in create mode, shoot it, then capture the thing coming out of it. This can then be emitter, and it will work on paint switches. For GREAT use of the Paintinator, check out "Splat Invaders Deluxe". I was working on a top-down shooter and wasn't very satisfied when the Paintinator was released. Problem solved!!!!! This thing is an amazing power-up and I've seen some great uses so far. Imagine a gun that could be used to turn enemies into cute bunnies, or able to grab objects and throw them. 1. it is already automatic >_> (you can hold the trigger and it will be automatic, just not as fast as if you were to press it yourself) 2. if it were to be similar size an SMG would be the same thing as this is >_> so basically this is already there so... there is no point for them if they are already there. LBP doesn't need more Paintinantors. Besides, if you're really worried about the rate of fire or the type of spread each paint "bullet" will have, that deserves more of a tweak menu upgrade than a brand new item. i hope they do make it so you can make modifications to the paintinator in lbp2, i mean come on it would be awesome if you could make assualt rifles from them and i mean think of how many there could be like smg's, rocket launchers, snipers, miniguns, etc. It varies it a lot more to make a better action level, i mean it would look a lot better if you could customize them becaue it would vary the levels a lot more. Heck, the creatinator made the gun obsolete anyways. They could of had it become the Creaternator PV2, or just the CPV2. Basically, since they came out with the creatinator, the metal gear pack is pretty much useless. (Except for the music and the neon material, OR the Music maker and the Neon materials in LBP2) Perhaps the PV2 could have been a double hand held. Easyish guys. If you grab a sackbot, give it a paintintaor your ready to go. You can do either one of the two: Give it a Recevier controllinator that doesn't override the sackbot that has logic to make full auto/semi auto/three burst between it and a normal controllinator that overides it. OR When a sackbot is holding the paintinator, hold it, click copy, move somewhere else and Hold X down whilst placing and you will go on to the pantinator tweak menu. There was a thread a while back that was talking about shooting a new bot somewhere to shoot "yourself" up higher. It was kind of hard to pull off... But you just gave me an idea to make a level with it... Not 2-player though. It'll be similar to portal.
