I've started on making a song using the music sequencer. I was just wondering if there's an organ as I can't see one. Would it also be possible to stop these notes from fading? As you can tell I'm new with the music sequencer and would appreciate the help.

The simple wave form instruments (don't recall which one specifically) will sound flute/organ-like when you shift its note's 'treble' to the far right.

I wish there was a thread with a list of instruments not in the game and how best to imitate them with the available LBP2 instruments. That's always been the hardest part of making music in LBP: simply finding a decent sound. As for your organ, you can try the bass guitar or distorted electric guitar for something different, just be sure to place the notes in a high register, play around with the timbre, and lengthen the notes with R1. The e-piano will probably be closest to an organ without any tweaking, but other than that, the wave instruments--as Antikris has said--will probably get you some good results. Don't forget to try combining instruments, mixing the volume, experimenting with panning, playing around with the timbre, and making use of reverb--it could really add some much needed depth to your music. Also, you can change the instrument of any sequence you've made by placing a new instrument over it.

I sometimes wish there was a dedicated music forum in the hopes of the community's most talented flocking to it - where we can then catch them alive, put them in cryogenic stasis and drain their minds of precious knowledge and experience.
