Materials:

Antigravity material (walking on walls/ceilings).
Jelly material (from very solid to almost water, wobblish/spring-ish).
Water material (obviously).
Glue/sticky material.
"Make object unmovable" option.

Able to import .jpg/bmp/dds for use as material.

Usage of i.e. R2 and L2 to make character swich planes.. because sometimes it just b0rks.

Timer Button/switch (Activates for x seconds, go back to prev. position when time is over).

Ability to create powerups.

think mario.. and there are enough buttons left on the controller to do something like that.

Reset-state-savepoint.

Instead of leaving everything as it is, this savepoint will reset anything that changed after you reached this savepoint and died.

Target Glue.

Ability to target glue two objects toghether, without it being glued to everything that is toughing the object.

Being able to build diagonal.

Cylinders vertical/horizontal (nicer pillars)

Able to choose how many corners a cylinder should have.

__

Able to rotate objects 45 degrees, instead of 90 when the grid is active.

Able to rotate the camera 180 degrees around the level, so you can make the player look at the other side of the level.

One button in the "start" menu that disables lighting/fog/brightness so you dont have to go back and forward in the menu's to make adjustments to the enviroment, and lighting in dark levels.

Zone portals.
I mean this in 2 ways.

1. Portals, to make a player warp from one section of the level to another.

2. zoneportals, only objects that are in the same zone as the player, and the zones next to the zone the player is in will be rendered.. (makes it better for 4 players/online)
Moving objects will still rotate like they should, since the bolts use the inbuild clock LBP has.

4 times the space to build per level.
Cmon.. If I want to max out the space, I will max out the space.

NO FREAKING not enough memory, try deleting some of your "my levels" crappage. (bug!)
Thats like trying to tell Hugh Heffner to stop with playboy.

The ability to import my cat into LBP.. the wreckage would be like something you have never seen before.. (he allready destroyz0rred my uberexpensive camera and even more expensive objective...).

"Playtest" button so you can test your level, and when you press the button, it resets everything back.. so you accidently dont forget to rewind after you tried something.

On the world map:
Recent, last hour, last day, last week, last month, last year, all time.
Highest rating, last hour, last day, last week, last month, last year, all time.
Most hearts..

Online 2 player editor... easy for explaining.
(you can do 2 player editing at home though, but its.. kinda.. not working).

Allow co-op editing of one level.
You as author can assign one or more persons to work on your level.
(fun for week by week passing on levels.. (did that a few times in my unreal editing years))

Instead of that anoying square when you change the zone of a camera,
just drag your popitcursor.. that would surely improve its effectiveness.. especially in big zones.
(also being able to change it to a circle instead of rectangle/square).

Able to change daylight with triggers.
Same for fog.
__

Weather effects.. (also triggered if preffered)
Rain, snow, wind, hail, heat.
Could also affect gameplay.. rain could make certain terrains smoother,
while wind could let your sackboy jump higher/further.

So maybe now I can sleep better at night,
because these things drive me crazy
