http://lbp.me/v/7sq8mr play a fully animated 3rd person character, explore a 26 room dungeon ,use items, solve puzzles and fight monsters!! I love Zelda games so i wanted to create a game engine that's similar to share the experience as best i can with the lbp community. http://if.lbp.me/img/ft/32f0fdc834edafd10a64056ee0f6b3c63cb0dd9c.jpg http://ib.lbp.me/img/ft/37b3d3c15279083ba96fa5af71e35ba617426062.jpg http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/413c5aad83017574dcde3297d2b93e95ada26f04.jpg 3d is a tricky medium in lbp2 so i cut back on detail to give you more game play, less lag is always a bonus http://ic.lbp.me/img/ft/c3c6bd2195f262f714c43157e3420b5ed96c91ad.jpg There is even a shop to buy items! | 2011-12-30 05:30:00 Author: Archdan Posts: 9 |
Very good level, the puzzles were great! I recommend it Since you're new, If you want to display pictures on your post, click the little picture button (it has a picture of a tree in a box) in the quick reply menu (above the text box), it's left to the video icon and right to the Earth (with a link) icon. It will ask you to enter your URL, so enter the one on LBP.me and there you go. Help that helps . | 2011-12-30 06:25:00 Author: PPp_Killer Posts: 449 |

this is quite good. the animations of your character are amazing. I had a couple of hiccups though. I went to the temple door and was locked. I read the stone and turned around to go scout out the village. My guy got stuck. He would rotate, but not walk anywhere. I found I could open my popit (might want to disable that) and "pop" myself. I then fell to the floor. Replaying now, as I really want in that temple. Awesome work on this BTW made it inside the temple! this is brilliant! parts of it are still a little "clunky" but it's very good. Takes me back to my Dos days. I can't get that dang box over the archway though. It just wont throw over it. It hits it and is destroyed or slides right underneath. | 2011-12-31 04:19:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
@biorogue Ok. You throw the box over the gap ,the rotating is because you pressed triangle (bow mechanics), and the popits enabled so you can interact with the inventory (stickers unlock items and buffs) hope that helps | 2011-12-31 05:56:00 Author: Archdan Posts: 9 |
i played it, you put a lot of work into it but overall being honest i did not like it, the camera thing you had to do everytime to see killed me and then i had to target something anytime i wanted to move, i think you could have done a lot better had you put some more time into it, maybe another month and you could have got the mechanics exactly where you wanted them, and that would have been awesome. Still some pretty cool things here but to be honest i quite after about 10 minutes of haggling with it/ | 2011-12-31 06:08:00 Author: Tyranny68 Posts: 390 |
I moved around quite easily. No need to target anything to be able to move. Just move the thumbstick. @archdan Arghh! I didn't try throwing over the gap! *facepalm* I see what you mean with the popit too. gotta go back now and get that box over the gap | 2011-12-31 06:26:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
@Tyranny68 You dont need to adjust the cam all the time to battle( assuming you died that way), its to face doors mostly and is in fact faster than other cams transition wise ( im assuming you've never played games on the N64 before the 2nd stick was nonexistant), all games back then had this cam centering control, ocarina of time had this control and no complaints, skyward sword has it too, secondly you dont need to target to move only if you have the bow out, you might have played it b4 my update on the triangle button thing was he rotating on the spot? cus you might have pressed triangle(this is fixed now ,and lastly wow it sounds like you think this game took an hour or two to make? lol try make a 3d lvl like this in that time ,ready set GO. (i dont mean that in a mean way... im just tired, i hope you give it another chance) | 2011-12-31 08:59:00 Author: Archdan Posts: 9 |
Whenever i got into the game at first i could move around without selecting something, i never even made it to a battle, im assuming that that was a glitch, which i do not like, but you cant ever rule out all glitches from the beginning, i assure you i had major issues when playing the game as i do not give negative feedback a lot, and for your smart reply back to me... i have played every console since the first nintendo, so yes i know very well about the fixed camera angles and such. I also have been working with a group of people working with the same type of cmera you used and we havent got too far but we can have our camera rotat on its onto the direction you are facing, i know it is difficult to make this happen but it is fairly possible. and yes i will give it another go, please look into the selecting glitch, as i didnt even have a bow at the point of which it happened. the legs were animated but i was going no where | 2011-12-31 09:20:00 Author: Tyranny68 Posts: 390 |
@Tyranny68 im certain you hit the triangle button and entered aiming mode, you played this not to far before my update (hour or two apart) b4 the update i made, it entered aiming mode without even having the bow , i didn't foresee this as something that would confuse players back then, i got your comment on the thread after i updated it, so im sorry if i was abit iffy ,im thankful that you didn't boo the lvl and for your comment, it helped alot | 2011-12-31 09:52:00 Author: Archdan Posts: 9 |
i didnt boo it.... i just quite, if i boo'ed it it was a mistake, i will play it again now since the update, but i still would like to see a different camera system, that would be my only real complaint if the other one is fixed. | 2011-12-31 10:02:00 Author: Tyranny68 Posts: 390 |
@Tyranny68 i know you didnt, thats why i thanked you, anyway to business, what parts of the camera needs fixing? personally i dont think it needs fixin, you face a direction, press a button and it centers it behind you, its works fine for me (and the Zelda games). Id never get this far in my lvl if i was still stuck in the fantasy of making a turning camera, don't get me wrong, that ll be AWESOME....but it seems a distant dream, *sniff* | 2011-12-31 10:45:00 Author: Archdan Posts: 9 |
This is an incredible game you have created. (not level, game!) I was completely blown away, I only had a minute so I could not finish, but next time I'm on I will. Everything worked great for me, loved the camera. I wonder if you might re-publish this to give it a chance to get more plays on cool page? Seems a shame for you to put in all that work and not get the attention it clearly deserves. | 2012-01-01 02:44:00 Author: JakePutz Posts: 92 |
