Archive: 10 posts

Right so the start of the month i got YLOD which contained a lbp 1 + 2 profile which had my levels i never published due to never finishing, various objects created by me and also various prizes from DLC and both the stories. Now being forced to start fresh with my new ps3, what will my profile still have? =/2011-12-28 17:55:00

it depends, did you do a back up? Your back up will have everything that was backed up to that point.2011-12-28 19:48:00

Then you will have nothing. No materials, costumes, stickers or objects collected from the game. You have also lost any content that you had created. As well as any collected community content.

What you will have is the ability to copy any published stages back to your moon. But you will still need to go back and collect everything from LBP1 and 2's story mode as well as re-download the DLC packs and re-collect their content.

I would do a profile backup when it's all re-collected and consistently backup to USB from that point on. It sucks, but that's why you should back up.

At least it wasn't irreplaceable photos that you lost (back up your computers).

I've never known what YLOD means, what does it mean? I could probably help you if I knew.2011-12-30 18:39:00

You may be able to resurrect your system with some work.

It means Yellow Light Of Death. Google it.

I would suggest taking your PS3 to a shop and getting it fixed for some money. Its cheaper than buying a new PS3. If you send it off to warranty then I think that you will get back someone else's wiped PS3. That means that you would loose all your LBP 2 data. The only way to copy your LBP 2 backup to another PS3 is using the system transfer option but your PS3 has to be working perfectly to use this feature.

Oh no! I thought they fixed the yellow light problem with the new slims. I got the YLoD twice with my fat, but my slim has lasted me over two years now.2011-12-30 22:07:00
