making a controlinator based game multiplayer

hey i need some help with multiplayer stuff. i'm making a top down game where it starts you out in a menu where you select which "vehicle" you want to use for the level. i want to make the level multiplayer compatible, and maybe make a competitive version later if possible.

the problem i'm having is i don't know how to get it to put certain players in specific controlinators. and also i'm having trouble figuring out the logic to respawn the vehicles if the players die, and more specifically making it spawn them in the right order if two players with different vehicles die at the same time.

hopefully there is some trick to this. my level is coming along great and i'd settle if it had to be 1 player but it would really benefit from coop, and competitive mode would be tons of fun!

I figure out that players are placed in comtrollinators while the menu is active to keep them still. So, make the logics work this way:

1- First player's vehicle emmitted (with controllinator set to auto-enter)

2- Eject first player

3- Emmit the 2nd player's vehicle

4- Eject 2nd player

5- Emmit 3rd vehicle

6- Eject 3rd player

7- Emmit 4th vehicle

8- Eject 4th player

It should work. Be sure that the controllinator's range is enough long to gather the players.

sorry i don't know if i understand your reply. you are saying set up my logic so that once everyone has selected their vehicle, start a sequence to spawn the vehicles and eject the players in order? i guess that makes sense, i can probably figure out the logic for that.

any ideas on how to use a single check point but still make sure each player ends up in the right vehicle? i havn't worked on this at all yet, and i probably should before asking, but just thinking about how it would have to work i'm thinking of lots of problems based on if multiple players die at the same time, their vehicles can't all spawn in the same place so when the players actually come out it might not spawn their vehicles fast enough and they might get forced into the wrong one.
