Apollo Justice, a novice defense attorney, continues to defend clients after several complex trials under his mentor, Phoenix Wright. But then, he took that case that would steer his world into a story of great tragedy... one that would become the court's darkest trials yet. The game will be divided into 5 episodes: Episode 1: Turnabout Excavation, Due Early 2012 The game revolves around defending your clients in court against rigorous prosecutors and proving them innocent! There are two main modes of gameplay: Investigation Mode, and Court Battles . Investigation Mode Before you storm into court, you should investigate the crime scene and gather evidence to use as ammunition in court. Check every single nook and cranny; every piece of evidence counts. You should also interrogate every witness and get all the information you need. Psyche-Locks: Locks on the Heart (Phoenix) http://i2.lbp.me/img/fl/aa2e115a52c1a9e46814c746bc71089a323a339d.png Witnesses often hold secrets that are relevant to your case. However, they will not give in easily; this is when Psyche-Locks appear, to hide the dark truths. Using your magatama, a spiritual relic that allows you to see these locks, present evidence showing that they have nothing to hide! Here, you'll engage in a battle of logic against various state-appointed prosecutors to prove to the jury that your client is innocent! Cross-Examinations http://ib.lbp.me/img/fl/c1b1cf653998070439d0d3f7abb1e92c95c47abd.png The prosecution will often call up a detective or witness involved with the case to testify against your client. Through Cross-Examinations, you can look into their statements by pressing them on further, fleshing out all the information you can get. Then, if there is a contradiction with the testimony and the facts, present the evidence to disprove it! Think before you do this; wrong evidence will penalize you, and too many penalties will get your client guilty for sure! It certainly is a unique concept in the LBP community; sure there are investigations, but this'll probably the community's introduction to Court Battles! Also: the Aurora series will be on hiatus during development; we love em, but somehow we love this more (on a personal stand point, it has a lot of creative effects, such as typewriter style text.) I've only played the first Phoenix Wright game on the DS but I loved it! I did watch a let's play of the second game too. Will probably pick up Apollo Justice if I find it in a shop. Judging by the screenshots you have done a great job recreating the courtroom and costumes. Teaser is queued for when I take a break from Uncharted 3. I'm hoping to hear some voices shouting 'OBJECTION!' from the sackbots. Good Luck!

Just as a little bonus: I would like to tell all fans that there will be MANY characters in this game that were absent from aj:aa. Unfortunatly we are in the midst of redoing a good majority of the text to make it more like a pheonix wright game. It will take some time because we need to add parts of text in between many parts we had "done", which is just a HUGE pain considering how we are doing text. But hey! at least we have a good amount of effects done. and YES there will be minor voice work (OBJECTION!, TAKE THAT!, etc.) but since we CAN'T get ripped voices from the games, we are using our own voice work. So far we only have Apollo done (whom is voiced by fang) We really hope you guys like it. It would be further along but I became VERY ill just before christmas and it still persists I've been holding off until I could feel better. When case 1 is almost done we will create a full on trailer like that of the previous ace attorney games.

It will be "episodic" and the first episode (Turnabout Excavation) will hopefully be released in late Feburary/ early march. School and other stuff comes first and we are trying not to ruch this. In other words we are being VERY "Von Karma" about this!

We are done up to the first testimony. Just thought I would update: - We have "finished" (By that I mean minor tweeks will happen) the intro - The actual gameplay will be 2-3 sublevels long (we are unsure right now.) - Sub.lv.1 is at 85-90% full and we are only at the first testimony - Case 2 is being started (pre-production) If you have any questions regarding gameplay, story, production, etc, ask here, or my blog. I will answer to the best of my ability w/o spoilers!
